  1. Definitly no stretch. If anything, 10.5 is better for 265's than 9.5's.
  2. I'm running 9.5 inch on my R32 and it feels ok in the track. Anywhere between 9.5 and 10.5 is fine although most 34 owners go 10.5 as there is room, my r32 doesn't and needs 9.5's.
  3. I like it when Shin - the name of the guy that owns the car used in the clip goes - [engrish]"don'ta jump, the car is tloo low it's set up for sirverstone'[/engrish]. Great vid - and dont forget Aaron, it was pissing down for half his lap too. It's funny as they were testing pre-release Azeni RT-215's - in my opinion the best non r-spec tyres I've used (well as of 2005!!). I have an AVI file of it if anyone can host it.
  4. You can beat your time in Frank's car, come on!!! I'm gunning for a high 34. Did a 36.8 with less power and inferior suspension.
  5. Break out the TT's and go for a 29.
  6. Nice one Aaron. I'm going over to see my brother in the UK next year and will definitely be going to see your mate theo. IT's one of these bucket list things everyone has to do!! A tip with the go-pro, I found that putting it on low and drilling half a dozen holes in the waterproof casing thing makes the audio heaps better, eg:
  7. It was a Marque Sports Car Club day. Similar times though as it's mostly pre 80's stuff. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results..../2009.SDMO.Q1.I
  8. Matt, have PM'd you in response to preserve this for sale thread.

http://www.classicadelaide.com.au/assets09/media/Moderns.pdf - Looks like if you have a 1990 or earlier it's late classic. Although they no doubt bowed to some pressure are a letting modern class compete this year.

I was wondering what you were doing when I saw your add Serge.
  11. I'm in. I haven't been up there for 2 years and my car is completely different.
  12. I'm after the brake air ducts that go behind the front bumper, both side. I'm Melbourne, could you quote a price please. Regards Andrew
  13. I've got the same brake setup, but different brand. Have found that Pagid RS14's up front and Hawk HP Plus at the back work a treat - car is very well balanced under brakes. I found the DS3000's burnt up in 3 or 4 events. I'm getting 6+ events on the pagids, and have just changed the rears after 24 events.
  14. Dry sumps must be a NSW thing. As far as I've seen at the track, there is not one dry sumped car in Vic, however we never seem to see oil starvation blow ups either. It sure looks sexy with the pumps and all, but is it really necessary for club cars where a well made sump does the trick?
  15. Sux balls all right. I would have had to rely on someone with a jump kit to be there at the right time though, and that was not going to be easy. I had to get the recovery guys to do it initially. I am trying to wangle a leave pass for the AROCA P.I. day on the first weekend in July, not hopefull as it's a week after the WRX round. The only positive is that PIARC for some reason were only taking cash on the day so I didn't have to pay....apart from the $3k in tyres and pads for the weekend.
  16. What are the yokie's worth, the Dunlops I got were $655 each.
  17. Hi, yep I was there with my new Dunlop R1's, new front and rear pads, I even polished the flame soot off the back of the car. All this in preparation for a 1.46 lap. Conditions were perfect. Then my battery died. I couldn't fire the car to take it to scrutineering, it would crank, but not enough to start. Alternator appears ok as I get 14.7 volts when the car is running. If you have ever seen someone about to self-combust because of rage, then you know how I was feeling. Saw Markov was there on slicks so a FTD was out of the question, but a second place for the day was a distinct possibility. So got a jump start from the recovery cars and drove home. <homer> Stupid Battery </homer>
  18. Circuit: Sandown and Phillip Island Car: R32 Skyline GT-R. Driver: Me. Lap time: Phillip Island 1.47.6 and Sandown 1.21.2 (neither of which I got any footage of, ) Camera: GoPro Hero mounted on my cage. Link: http://www.youtube.com/user/aumuller - I'm a bit lazy, I've got 9 vids there to scoff at..
  19. Well I'm defecting to Dunlops so this will be the first time on this car that I've used them. Hopefully if the weather is good I can find the 0.6 secs I need to get into the 46's. I'd be more than happy to come back with another 47.
  20. I'm heading down for another crack at this awesome circuit. If you're down, come and say hi! I'm the one with a black R32. Seems to be less and less people from here at the track these days. Good luck to the Aust Tarmac Challenge boys and girls.
  21. I used Aaron Klaver's importmonster.com.au. Shipping was about ~$270 delivered to me.
  22. It's a Varis "cooling bonnet" - I love engrish. www.varis.co.jp Got it new through the Yahoo auctions at great expense ( 60yen). The reason I chose it was because it has a neat little cover for the vent on the inside of the bonnet for when it rains.
  23. Picked my car up today after getting the aerocatches fitted. With the standard airbox it was a bastard of a job apparently. Thanks to Mick at Micolour it looks like a very neat job. It's the first time I've been there, he certainly knows his stuff. I'm sure I'll be back for some more car botox in the future.
