Hi, yep I was there with my new Dunlop R1's, new front and rear pads, I even polished the flame soot off the back of the car. All this in preparation for a 1.46 lap.
Conditions were perfect.
Then my battery died.
I couldn't fire the car to take it to scrutineering, it would crank, but not enough to start. Alternator appears ok as I get 14.7 volts when the car is running. If you have ever seen someone about to self-combust because of rage, then you know how I was feeling.
Saw Markov was there on slicks so a FTD was out of the question, but a second place for the day was a distinct possibility.
So got a jump start from the recovery cars and drove home.
