  1. Haha. They seem like the exact same setups aye. Im curious to see what it can make with a decat ad screamer pipe
  2. I was thinking this. But why does it happen intermittantly?
  3. What ecu are u running? I had a customer do the same thing on his GTR. I used the Ecu to remove 22 degree's of timing at idle to bring the idle rpm down to 900 instead of 2000. Otherwise just pull them off and reseal. Heard its supposed to work really well but havent tried myself
  4. Best place is to remove either of the front wheels then the inner gaurd, carefully cut a slit in the grommet just big enough to feed the wiring or hose through, once u have finished put a bit of silicone or sealant
  5. Anythings possible U can do the inlet in a day easily enough.
  6. Finding the problem is heaps easier than replacing the inlet gasket
  7. Yes it should. Will find out through the week.
  8. working in the boot of his car paid off today, AFR's are doing exactly what i wanted tonight. Just got back from a drive with it. went down to the servo to top up the $21 worth of EFLEX, racked up some sensible km's, think we are up to 50km just cruising around with a few squirts on 14psi low boost, and only 1 half throttle tyre fryer on high boost, got scared as midnight and tired, had a big day. Maxed out at 367kw on 22psi, tried more boost with no gain, but very impressed as its all legal in the way of Catalytic converter and wastegate plumbed in, thing is a sleeper. still got to finish the tune back from E67 down to 98 octane but atleast everything held together
  9. Which side? Turbo side or inlet side? Oil may just be burning off the manifold
  10. Exactly my point. 044 around 200lph. Nismo 246lph but i cant find specs for flow at higher psi which is where it counts
  11. Try a mates afm to test
  12. Prime the fuel pump, then leave it disconnected, also leave the afms disconnected if the cooler piping is not sealed tight. See if it starts. Put up a pic of the cam timing
  13. Is it definately oil? Is it still missfiring? Reason i ask is a stuck injector can cause excessive white smoke. Take the turbo off and check the manifold for any signs of oil etc (possible cylinder failed etc)
  14. Try removing the auxilary belts from front of the motor and start the engine. See if the noise is still there. Also try using a stethascope of sorts to pinpoint the noise. Has the timing belt been replaced?
  15. Check for power at the fuel pump. Black/yellow from memory. Pretty sure there is a efi relay in the engine bay fuse box. Check for power at the injectors too
  16. Yes its the timing belt. As u say the rpm can hide or bring out the harmonic noise. When working on a gilmer drive the other day i noticed even the slightest misalignment from pulley to pulley enhanced the sound
  17. Normally when people fit alarms, boost gauges or boost controllers they cut the grommets that seal the firewall. Check behind the drivers wheel.
  18. More details needed. Does it increase with rpm? Does it still happen with clutch in Does it happen straight away on start up or after a few seconds. Post a pic of ur engine bay. It sounds like a rotational noise from the fan or belts etc
  19. According to Ash the nismo is flowing enough for a 400kw GTR on E85. This 044 and others can only make 350kw
  20. Sorry my bad on this one. Been flat out with cars that have been booked in for a while. Kurtis's 34 currently has a wiring gremlin after he installed the 2nd 044.
  21. Has the engine been built? Very clean inside compared to most SR tractor motors.
  22. Try to visually inspect engine and gearbox mounts. Diff backlash is the freeplay between the gears in the diff. If there is too much freeplay (backlash) there will be clunking etc
  23. I boiled some suger water and put it in. U should try it (do not try suger in fuel tank)
  24. Was with ebay stainless which is ehat hybrid have made in mild steel
