  1. there's one here in brissy. from a distance it looks like a VR. walk up to it and its totally different. TT L6 in there it does move quite nicely.
  2. lotus carlton bring one of those back. should confuse a VR commodore driver
  3. nah defienitely fuel pump. I see all the wiring there for it.
  4. need a LOT more detail here. I can source parts ex japan for it without issue but need to know EXACTLY what you are talking about.
  5. its a strathfield alarm the thing won't be that well fitted. chase it back to the harness and rejoin what they cut. now if you have hit the alarm siren feed there is a VERY good chance you have nailed a fuse or two. look over all three fuse panels and see if you can find it. the alarm has one as well. where's troy when you need him..
  6. fuel strap support removed. that hole was under it (see a few images back) and as such it will be sectioned out and replaced with a bit of steel. the hole I need to use is covered by the steel brace. rear shot of removed fuel strap support. that is the other side of the rust spot. this was a right royal pain in the ass to get off. one layer of steel over it and one under it. it did NOT help that it was welded in place from the top down. see next image for a MUCH better explanation. there's not a lot left in that top corner. I'm in two minds here. ENTIRE rear shelf or a steel plate. body shop can decide there. the top corner of it was ALL weld not a scrap of steel to punch through and remove. the back end of it was 4 spot welds and it came loose. the top left that mess when I removed it.
  7. did they do these for other models? ie R32? like the idea and CBF making one.
  8. someone lock the IP range of this guy. whilst he's entertaining at times others he's a twit. Fk him off..
  9. quick note for those tossing GTR tanks in a GTST body. the rubber bung (to the right of this image) IS THE STRAP MOUNTING POINT FOR A GTR ! that makes my patch job a bit easier as I do not have to worry about strength on that point as the mount needs to slide across a hole.
  10. remnant of rear guard. spoke to the panel shop about removal and was told to be precise and punch through every spot weld on it (I have found 6.) and it will slide out. area around rear guard removed. it has been sectioned when the side was done. rear area has to be rebuilt. close up of rear area. a lot of crap fell out of that when I ground it off with a grinder forward B pillar - stray metal removed and prepped with copper paint. the lower sill scrap can stay there for now. the main area I wanted to clean was the painted section so I could see where the sill was and how it fits into this giant jigsaw puzzle. as it sits now the outer sill is first, B pillar panel second and inner sill 3rd. the outer is going to be easy to get off. the inner one I'm not sure on until I get started in the outer. car has to go to the panel shop for this part of it. I am doing the removal but not at the risk of it folding like a pretzel if I do it in my workshop and THEN move it.
  11. jon, I am but I don't drive a V35. most of thecustomers/ people I see through here are 40+. the car I have here now the owner is easily 45. if you like I can kick them your direction IF you set up a meeting point.
  12. thats ok I was at an exec meeting. I'll be there next thurs.
  13. it is. looks like they had a power issue.
  14. I have several here. one that is a partial english conv. some of these things are starting to develop PSU problems.. forget about buying a second one and pulling it down, swapping bits and firing it back up - great way to fk it..
  15. there are a few around. I know where most are as most of them are customers. thing being most are 40+ and not into the whole cruise scene
  16. woolworths complex cnr beams/gympie rds. I'm not there this week . if I am there look for a signed combo van.
  17. depends on the shop. some pull the lot. some cut the ignitor lead.
  18. that to me is a LOT of custom fab work. show a body builder that image and prepare for one hell of a shock.
  19. have a read of the car audio area there is a tutorial of how to get at them - getting them from under neath - nup!
  20. andrew, he's already asked me about it. told him what to look for as well. its case of finding someone dwon there with a carmen or launch to read the thing. I'm 2'5 hrs away by plane and I'm not heading that way anytime soon. who does your svc work? (they may be able to help him ) in general nissan is nissan. the diagnostics haven't really changed (unless we are talking C3) on any of them.
  21. the GTR I am talking about belongs to a customer of mine. car is a s1.5 and the lights S3. top/side mounts line up the bottom inner does not line up at all.
  22. just that. take a wreck and a straight body and combine the two to make one car. yes it does happen and no the RAWS do not pick up on it. seen plenty. next time you are wandering around an import yard that does Z11 cubes , crawl under the arse of one. I bet you see black tar coat around certain aspects of it. that is a sign its been built. look at the front of it and you will probably find more surface rust that you ever thought possible. *that* was probably a flooded car..
  23. thread mine (I'm looking for something and found this.) though it needed answering. guards are a bolt on though you also need the indicators and inner plastic guards as well. no point doing the front without doing the rear as well. the car looks out of proportion otherwise.
