  1. I'll talk to him at some point - he's a top bloke.
  2. all I am doing with the engine at this point is checking it over and storing it. I'm a long way off from installing the thing. that engine is 6 months early..
  3. tell me where to pick t up
  4. I have an official date in mind but mid june is all I will say at this point. need your feedback on it though. I know that you can play in the hills at landsborogh and all up that way to montvile. I do know that there are a few other roads in there that are not major roads that are also fun. the brissy guys will be in tow with me (10-20 of us) so we would like to see a good time thoughts??
  5. me like!!! (also if you still the rollover frame you used to paint yours I would like to use it please :) )
  6. RB25 DET 4WD block - came form a 09/97 C34 Stagea. I am going to change the intake to a GREDDY forward facing item so it all marries up with the GTR nose. the 4sped auto that is on it now will not be there when it goes in. the 5 spd will. top shot. needs a GOOD clean. front shot. it came with engine mounts as well. perfect as all I will need to do is drop it into the engine bay and wire it up. for now it gets put on the shelf and oiled/turned once a week. I'm no where near ready for it to be fitted to the car.
  7. GREY, this is what it SHOULD look like. ---------- understand??
  8. and the camera still works
  9. so what did you break adam?? if you have a meter handy check that the earth on the amplifer IS acutally earth. a bad ground will give the same issue where the lights are on but nothing happens. not sure where you are but if you are around fyshwick pop into BDL and speak to warren. mention me. if you are around belconnen see scott at elite.
  10. yep. leave the blue bits alone. the plug has two locks. the primary lock is the yellow block. that needs to come out first then the pins are individually locked. a sewing needle is enough to unlock them.
  11. yep I have those.
  12. ask me you need a nissan diversity to standard antenna plug - I sell them. see sig.
  13. purple sticker means its complied and ready for rego. take it to your local registrar and pay them. job done. it was the steel plated VIN tags that vicroads went nuts on. if it was stamped into the body then there usually was not a probelm.
  14. for htose up that way - the club wants to meet up with you and see where you play. I'm looking for suggestions on where. cairncross? landsborough? montville? looking to do a longish day criuse with the final point at ettamogah? interested??
  15. been talknig to clint (TMBA) and he's somewhere up the sunny coast the night before and whilst I tried to get him in on it he thinks timing won't be on his side. I have a couple more via FB that will probably rock up.
  16. instant rego can be arranged you know
  17. quick check off on the original list at the beginning of the topic: ---------------------------- Things to replace/repair: (I'll provide part numbers as I do them.) ALL rubbers both door sills (inner/outer) repair front frame rails - due to someone lifting the car wrong.. inner front plastic guards - both sides. rear parcel tray (this will be rebuilt) seat belts - all 4 ALL interior covered trim - inc side window trims heater vents - dash. radio panel rear console panel under steering wheel. - someone bolted a turbo timer to it and made a horrible mess.. shifter cover rubber shift boot that isolates the body from the inside cabin A/C controller - mine does not light up - works fine. Carpet - if I can still buy it. instrument cluster panel - GTR version with clock. every missing screw inside. plastic screws in the sill panels Sill panels with skyline logo Floor mats - OEM. things to tidy up / paint/clean entire car - factory color with new decals and emblems engine bay - factory flat red black stone coat underneath/inside rear wheels engine in factory black colors small parts. every clamp on the car - new if I can still get them. --------------- not to mention the new panels I have bought. front differential is in with Elite Racing Developments ( www.erd.com.au ) being cleaned up/rebuilt I will have a number of spares left over out of the engine purchase. a 4 spd 4wd auto will be one of them.
  18. near new car once I'm done. I was talking to a mate of mine who does things out of osaka and he's finally worked out what I am doing. if I was doing it to sell - I would not have bothered. I'm building it to keep for a number of years.
  19. nope. started with this one and this is the one I intend to build. I have patience and plenty of it. cash - not so much but I make do of the last 10 R32s I have done 8 of them have been sideswiped and ALL of them had bent sills. so while everyone thinks its easier to look for a better shell you really do not know WHAT you are buying until you get stuck into it like I have. even the guys that are buying non runners ex japan get the same thing. I built a starlet a few years back and that was done in a similar fashion. new bits everywhere and some used ones. pete, and its going to stay that way too. the dash copped a spray of armour all before I wrapped it back up in plastic. the other plastics are STILL in the box you put them in and they are sitting in the next room behind me at home. carpets - those are folded up and put in a BIG box. hard boot items - boxes.
  20. just got off the phone to a mate of mine. he's going to drop my wheels around on monday. 17" BBS Vspec 1 wheels cost - dont ask!
  21. as am I. I will be doing test fitting on the majority of it. the drivers side should be easy as all of it will simply line up as the factory built it. the passenger side I think will be interesting. I still have a factory fitted guard there and getting it loose without destroying it will be the hard part. I'm not keen on doing that one as well when there is nothing wrong with it.
  22. I want english buttons for my 2004.5-2005.11 V35 where do I find them? ring nissan, quote part number 28395-AC74A. that will net you the USDM set. remove your jap buttons , disassemble them, remove the TV button off the button set. keep the JAP circuit board with the JAP housing. the system will not start up if you swap the boards swapping it over: disassemble the USDM item . you need the button tops ONLY. cut the cancel button out of the set and insert the TV button. reassemble the new button set onto the JAP board, put car back together.
  23. ta! couldn't remember. been a while since I have looked at mine.
  24. the FUGA was a V8 and that was loosely based on a V35 chassis. might be worth a look.
