  1. I was quite chuffed when they turned up. he's been saying that for weeks and then I get a text msg saying be there in an hour.. the contra deal I like as well. I have to fix a cube for him and tats it. he's got the bits for it..
  2. so it looks like a few 32's will be there - great!! I'll make sure I bring my R32 SD card so I can take silly piccies
  3. tossed the boot lid on the car this morning GTR boot lid on car second shot these showed up this morning. one full set of 17x7 Nissan BBS wheels. these are off a C34 260RS. tires are totally screwed but good enough for me to get an eye for tire size. I'll swap the centre caps to skyline ones once the car is finished. this was another contra job for a importer mate of mine. (ESP imports.)
  4. listen to nismo - he speaketh the truth take a later sedan for a run. you will like it. I have driven nismo's one a few times and it has more than enough poke to do what you want. now if you like the idea of paddles - buy the earlier 5sp auto and then swap the paddles from the CVT8 into it. I have been privy to a few horror stories on CVT8s now and most are bad. I had one kid blame a stereo shop in maroochydore for his failing. (all the y did was replace the radio for him) another with random issues that would not appear on my scanner. buy the car you want but at the same point make DAMN sure you know what you are buying and DO NOT look at distance covered. I wrote the thread mentioned above for a reason
  5. I know people who know people that bring htose sorts of cars in I also know where a jap MX5 is sitting at the moment if you wish to have a sit in one to see if you fit.
  6. got this tonight : 32 GTR rear bootlid and wing. did a contra deal with a mate of mine. another view now if I can keep doing contra deals over the next few months I should have a lot of this car back in one piece
  7. www.carmenimports.com.au 07-3881 1800 - talk to craig. he has one there I'm fairly sure he will deal on.
  8. guys , route sorted. it drops off the side off a cliff in one spot but I reckon you will like it. daz, quite similar to what we did on sunday. guys if you have UHF radios - bring them.
  9. have you pulled the car apart and looked yet most of them are simply a cable and nothing else. at worst - center console and brake lever.
  10. see inserted comments if you are talking service parts - yes. correct. though you may get lucky and find some bits of it ex MLB. plenty of the wound back. its only 4 bolts , 3 plugs and its off and swapped out. importers do it , yards do it individuals do it. if there are any japanese service stickers in the doors sills or on the side of the dash have a look at those. clocking seems to be more common on the 2 door ones. same as every other car. if its taken care of then it will last a while. usually. they suffer cam sensor problems , various electrical faults and the like. windows and locks are the worst two unless its been fiddled with then its a pain in the ass to work with. ( I fix these cars for a living.) if it has CVT-8 any where on it - AVOID IT. they are great when they work and will write teh car off when they break. see 5. have a read of the FAQ. might help you.
  11. yep. ippy for me this morn. expect to freeze my ass off out there. (mobile work.)
  12. I sell hime radio panels. he knows what he's doing hence my referral. top fellow.
  13. gov't has a 17 working day turnaround on paperwork. blame them for the time it takes to clear your car before you can drive it
  14. same. mine has been made aware of it. I'm leaving a few days prior though as I am going to tie it in with work and do a rep run for the wholesale business unfortunately I have to - about every 60-100 km. gotta talk (and move lotsa boxes.) I'll do that at the vic border. ash, business sponsors - details please.
  15. patience grasshopper. the paperwork takes a week to sort. expect 2-3 weeks before you pick it up or it gets dropped to you.
  16. that reminds me. I should look at Boz's one once I toss the screen back in. I bet it says the same if not higher.
  17. I can source them ex japan without issue. cost may scare you though. if you are intersted flick me your chassis number.
  18. TANK, they are talking V36 here NOT V35. different critter entirely.
  19. quite possibly. I had another one come in today that was done the same way. screen totally dead this time.
  20. yes. have a brand new one here for mine. if you are doing the full swap then everything under the bar needs to change. . it is a common swap.
