  1. give me youyr chassis # and I'll look it up for you.
  2. that is a patrol key. I can get them fairly easily and they are not $550..
  3. just my 2c on this. I know there are a few of you that are electronically minded. who says you have to clone the chip directly? fire it up get it to spit out serial data and note that down. if if you are really intrigued and feel like memory mapping it then you can work out HOW/where it writes things to and write your own code for it. the ONLY catch to this will be if nissan actually forgot to lock the thing. given that its nissan I would say the didn't and the hitachi's internal flash has been locked down. you will have buckleys of getting unlocked. I know a certian russian fellow that worked with hitachi SH4s so he could probably tell you a thing or two about them - food for thought.
  4. I think when I get close to finishing mine (this is in relation to your build thread) it will drop off the radar. whilst I have more than enough knowledge to keep the thing in one spot I'm not going to put temptation out there for a young twit to take a joy ride in it. sad to see such a nice car gone. I have a blue 32 GTST to do in the morning for that very reason. given the cost of second hand bits for these cars it makes more sense (lateral POV) to find one and piss off with it than to be honest and pay for the bits. if you get it back in one piece send it my way.
  5. its normal. the S2 versions do not do it. have driven and stripped both they are different cars. talk to cube cars (google is your friend) about them he's had both as personal cars and knows a great deal about them mechanically. (I know the electrics reasonable well.)
  6. good!! now to do a bit more planning of runs up that way for my self and a few others
  7. pictures do not really show the condition of these. the light spots are the flash. they are damn near new. aware of the $19 ones on ebay fitted several to customers cars.
  8. drop a RB25 into it.. easier. of you want a blow by blow of what works (and costs $$) look in the buildup area for 'ROY' as he's went nuts on a RB20. I have a RB25 for mine.
  9. the navi Z panels I keep elsewhere. they are not on my site. I have a second wholesale biz I sell them through. (that does not have a website.) let me know when you are ready. integration wont be an issue. as for setup - matter of opinion. car pc via radio is my preferred use. still a bitch to get 100% correct though.
  10. door actuator is playing up. where are you?
  11. I have the panels to do that in a 350 Z and yes I'm still around. if you have bought the car - drop past or call me. see sig. troy, haha. terry - wait till SAU nats - I'll get you back then
  12. and the the happy laps day at lakeside has no cars showing for it either.... this place is far from dead and to be honest the QLD club has plenty going on.
  13. depends. the early BG5s had the early motor in them with the crap heads. . they swapped in the BH5 to teh WRX style engine and the boxes were geared different. unsure about the toyota ones. I know BG5 and earlier quite well.
  14. chin idea works - been using that for 20 yrs. phone idea - BS! mythbusters proved it.
  15. certainly have. spent $4.6k on a 4spd auto.. it won't break again either.
  16. not sure what you are talking about with the valley of death (boost) mine is fine. 1st comes in at 1800 swaps at 3800 and pulls hard to the 6800 cut off. I have that drive line in this: I did trick up the autobox a bit though.
  17. hoses are different.
  18. trans cooler - what was it out of -32?
  19. mark it as sold. I'll take it pending check over and testing.
  20. what year is this out of? looks to be S2 R32 (mine is blue and its an 89/90)
  21. you are welcome good to catch up as well
  22. Torque Convertor. even though you do a oil change on it you are still only doing HALF the oil. the rest of it (with trash in it) is still in the TC. I had this issue with a JATCO 4spd in a Subaru. did the oil change / sol's and it shit itself 6 weeks later leaving me with a $4.5k bill. the best way to look at an auto box is with an extreme eye on caution. if its giving you grief and carrying on in a weird manor rebuild it or find another box.
