  1. true, most that I have seen or worked on over the years are beaten to hell. the last red one I say had the original paint underneath it. this is the one I think is worth buying.
  2. minor gripe from me- when displaying attached images it opens in the same window. is there a way to change this so it opens in a new window. got used to closing images and have closed the forum down a few times by mistake. if its a not possible thing that's ok

  5. looking at he M35 its done 3 bags and all th associated electronics. only place that car is going is to a wrecker. the bags alone are $6k. no way in hell I would build that. unless the passenger side picture is wrong that car is bent down that side.
  6. rip it out and turf it. that is an aftermarket item. totally useless.
  7. or in my case 21 ys. (see sig - GTS4.) find a cheap one and spend $ fixing every aspect of it. in the end you will have spent $25k or so but 90% of it will be new. I know of a red one that went through a RAW here in brissy that was for sale. I could probably find out who owns it if need be.
  8. in short - buy shallower speakers OR duplicate the 4x6 mount properly. that mount is angled for a reason.
  9. spoke to a mate of mine in osaka yesterday, hes found me a full front end off a Vspec. whilst not cheap its in decent nick and will save me a bit of money over new items. also picked up my other sills yesterday as well.

  11. look me up if the alarm acts up in any way. no one else will be able to find it..
  12. that switch is a fucntion of the BCM when then fires a relay which then fires the solenoid. so you are gong to be looking in a few spots. there is a control module in the gate that also runs most of this as well. if its under warranty I would let someone else fiddle. if you are confident with a multimeter poke and prod the module in the back gate. you are looking for a 5v signal that drops to zero when you push that button. the gate works the same way. both of them feed a module.

  15. same in QLD - they take it off you and keep it especailly if you have it pulled whilst in court. drive around without one up here and you get one of two things: locked up for a few days further loss for two years or more. been there done that - not nice. though if you still wish to be an idoit and try - by all means bring a big jar of vaseline. you are going to need it. further point to all of this, if you fcuk up and damage a car orkill someone whilst driving around up here unlicenced the owness is on you to pay for your fcuk up and not the insurance company. if you do decide to still do it - stay the hell away from me and my kid.
  16. they went belly up twice. first time M benz bought it. second time Fiat bought it. the new ones are fiats.. either way they are a headfcuk to work on electrically.
  17. reprogram the alarm. I dare say it was spiked when you jumped it off.

  21. not really. though if it goes for a random inspection and it is found (they do know what they are looking at ) you wil end up with a canary.. I just keep in mind that a mate of mine almost killed his 5 y/o when the neutral safety switch failed on his 4wd and he pressed the button.
  22. I may have a 4.08 front diff spare myself. I'm keeping the 4.35 setup. so far so good on yours. I'm waiting on all my internal clips to arrive - have a parts blowup if you need it. shows 90% of the engine/under clips.
