I bought a V36 - can you help me change it to english?? in short - no. hard ware is doable by hacking the system. this means you CAN get navi onto the screen , the camera setup working and audio into the system with a lot of mucking about. I have done this to a few cars already with a similar system (JDM R35- VERY similar.) for those that insist on going further: you NEED: IT experience (in machine code and Posix expecially) enough confindence to: pull your car apart and the main unit out -remove the HDD, unlock it , image it onto a local machine -operate a software debugger/decompiler for the hitachi processor that in is the main unit -MAP the system so you know where every thing is positioned/addressed and connected internally. also bear in mind USDM is NOT the same unit. as the video is different, the unit does not have TV or ETC for starters. -rewrite the code you have decompiled so it addresses the correct areas inside the unit AND flashes the internal EEPROM memory. if I lost you and any point of that - forget trying to do it. if you followed all of it - create a solution - split it up into a few pieces , code it accordingly and get a reward for your efforts. for those that keep trying to contact me on this and asking if I can do it - I do not own a V36. (I own a R32) I have however researched plenty of information about it and the above is my approach to it. there is plenty of info out there on the net regarding the hitachi processors and decompilers - google is your friend HDD tools will do the unlocking of the drive quite easily. make sure you get the right one. also make sure you have access to a consult 3 when you forget that the unit is out and push the start button by accident.

they are still available new. check my build thread as it gives you the parts numbers. (see sig for link) if they have peeled there is a high chance that the mounts are broken as well. that was the case with mine with and why I bought them new.

give me your chassis number and I'll tell you how much you are looking at. there is a programming sequence in this area for it.

corolla runion actually yep they stuck the Bb on the list. no one is doing it as I understand. its not the first model though. see also diahatsu Coo. that one IS on the list and there IS some one doing it and its the same as the Bb.

reverse camera is doable as well. need to mod a module.

blown headgasket between 5&6 is what killed it. I now have a GTR bumper in my possession as well. I can still smell stripper on my hands.. never mind the fact I had decent gloves on it still managed to seep through them. I'll do a bit more tonight.

fully stripped boot lid - 7 passes of stripper later.. that wing is next. already tried the stripper on the underside of it - no damage to it so away we go with a paintbrush over the next few nights. sunroof area. this was a rust bubble covered with paint. figured I would see how bad the rust was and make the decision wheater or not to take a dremel to it. decision made. a quick push on it and it pushed through. now its a 200mm x 100mm cut/brass and fill back in job. whilst I CAN do it I'll leave this for the body guy to fix the white stuff is body filler from a previous attempt at fixing it. my guess is this was done when the car came into the country about 2000 or so.

let the chemcial burns begin.. started paint stripping today and it will be an ongoing thing until I get it all off. I'm using a razor blade scraper, industrial paint stripper,thinners and metho to clean these. figure there is at least 5-6 weeks of work here stripping this paint off. one side (drv side) of this car I figure will have a lot more pain on it than the other. 2 passes of stripper. this is going to be a fun/tedious job... this is 1/2 done. there are at least 8-10 coats of pain on this piece. this image is the result of 4 passes with a rather industrial paint stripper. I still have the other areas on the boot lid to do.

need to know which one it is. post a pic of the remote and I'll try to tell you.

what speedo is in it? 180 or 260?

lock actuators are f'kd. make sure you get NEW ones. that said I can get them and I do fix these cars for a number of car yards.

lead is easier..

seat rams are failing. thats the short of it. get the code that results in teh history of the tool he uses..

ok if that is the case: look at all the joins along the way to the condensor (outside coil) if any of them are dirty then your leak is there. most I haev looked at the leak is in the front right area (standing in front of car.)

few more images: mate of mine from osaka was in town and dropped these off. I'm still missing the front grille (he has it somewhere.) but its getting there.all of this is mocked up for the shots. lights are the same as my existing ones but in better condition. (mine are for sale btw.) the indicators were a decent price and in much better condition that what I started with so they stay and the others go to the bin sans wiring. other side. again its simply sitting there. one hting that did get taken out after that was the passenger quarter glass. that came out in jsut under 10 minutes with a knife. figure it was original as there was not a lot of sealant under it and that helped a fair bit as it simply popped out. once it was cut halfway loose.
