yep - stanley knife and a LOT of cutting. short of it is this: remove all trim - toss in bin - its useless after you rip it off. cut around outside glass with knife and remove all the sealant as you go. do the same from the inside and give it a push at various points. it is tempered glass so it will take some force before it explodes. from there it simply falls out. front is the same but it wil crack a lot easier.

similar idea. use a ammeter or multimeter that will measure current.

need your model # as well (or a shot of your build palte.) my oct 2010 japan fast doesnt like your car so I need to 'force' it to looking it up.

I would think so- they are fairly soft in that area. I have worked out that the only way to raise one is via the subframes. otherwise you risk crushing the sills. somthing that I'm NOT a fan of. (esp after paying for new ones!) (still want that ABS unit btw.)

spent a bit more time on it tonight removing the inside sound deadening and pedal box. all of this is in aid of me cleaning the engine bay out so I can take a scrubbing brush to it. also found a neat mod for the drivers central locking. the side door actuator out of a E50 Elgrande fits nicely onto the R32 catch and gives me electric control of that side. I have to build a harness for it but its a lot more reliable than an aftemarket item.

start pulling fuses until the draw goes away. that almost looks like a light is on somewhere. if you are working in the boot push the boot catch closed and retest. normal draw is 20-50mA so 0.02 or 0.05A.

not a fan I'm afraid. already had one apart and its entirely too complex for what it is. every item in the thing is data driven and when one item breaks the entire lot shuts down.

started picking up my parts from nissan new inner guards (these are GTR btw) 63842-05U80 - guard protector - RT $160 63843-05U80 - guard protector - LT $160 inner sill - right side. 76450-01U00 - Sill inner - right $190 the outers are more again. they are sitting at nissan waiting for me to pick them up. ordered a few more bits today. NEW undertray, (which I'll have to modify for the brake ducting.) corner brace (panel behind strut tower drv side.) charcoal canister holder intercooler air guide. (I'm using this as a oil cooler guide.)

i have NO probelm getting parts for these cars. someone provide a chassis number to me and I'll get what you need - easy.

2005+ USDM models can. JDM cannot. I actually dropped MP3 mech under a jap one a few years back for sh1ts and giggles.

diagnostics for one. work out what is tripping it first. glass sensor setting may be a bit hot but thats only a guess.

09GTR, part of the reason I was posting parts prices. given the size of the hit all that is really good for is spare parts. still amazes me that they listed it as a repairable writeoff myself . I would call it stat writeoff and strip the thing.

looking further at that - rear quarters both sides ( I had these pegged for replacing.) and prettly much all the hardware attached to them. G8100-JF0MA - REAR FENDER RH - $2600. G8101-JF0MA - REAR FENDER LH - $2600.

ok: G3112-JF0MA - roof panel $1500 731D0-JF00A - roof reiniforcement $1000 73910-JF21A - Roof lining $1000. 79700-JF30B - rear Glass kit - unable to price. thats a starting point. I have about half a page pf things that 'could' be damaged on it. in reality I can see $10k in parts myself. especially if it got into the SRS and electrical system. given that the car has curtains and seat bags and that the curtains are bolted from the rear of the car I'd suggest that they are also part of the write off quote. power to someone buying it and fixing it. it certainly will not be a cheap evercise.

no. that is only the front bumper cover. the lower lip is extra - I have the price for it at the shop. from memory its roughly a $300 piece.) in all there are 20 or so pieces to the front of it. for those that simply want the 'cover' then the above is correct. I'm doing the lot so I'll have prices for most of it fairly soon.
