  1. reckon its a sydney RAW myself. none of the ones I do are this slack..
  2. de-no, if the car has been done by jspec then shogun will probably be the ones that do the car. if you can get the car to go to ISASO or Adrenaline motors then the whole process will be transparent as I'll pick it off as it goes through the system. if shogun do the car MAKE SURE they understand you want the car modded for AV and navi. this will happen AFTER compliance. if you want an alarm on it tell me. do you have the chassis # of it (IE CPV35-000000) so I can add it to my list. ( I track cars by this as I often get 3-4 silver cars in a row and I get lost..) my contact details are below.
  3. jaycar or myself $45 worth od bits and its done. there is no 'code' for them.
  4. that looks good.
  5. we'll agree to disagree then. I'll leave it at that. there are people here that have a lot more knowledge than you or I combined on these - they don't post it here. I run a business as you know and I do not use a aux in for navi other things - yes.
  6. (soapbox) good stick to doing that you can see what I do for a living and I'm fairly sure you do not tell all your tricks to everyone - nor do I. when you open a post with a name calling( which an apology was issued on ) it doesn't sit well with others. if you had been nice about things in the beginning I probably would have helped you straight away. (/soapbox) now that this has been said - back to what we are talking about.
  7. mx 40 does not run indicators as std. its meant to run the parking lights. as for the original issue - the lock actuator is broke. replace it. this is a common fault on a 32 anyway. nothing to do with the post above.
  8. and I agree with discussion. that said there are things best left unposted. I get enough questions on these cars as it is and 90% of them are not on this forum. in regard to your original problem if you have a autowatch 573 tag on your key then the antenna for it is in the wrong spot causing your car to see TWO keys and then the NATS 5 system tossing the main key out for that round.. that is the reason I wanted to see the car. out of curiosity what do you do for a living?
  9. mongoose MX40 or M20 - given the red button I would say M20. find a mongoose dealer in your area or ring hte office in hornsby.
  10. show me the remote.
  11. as for the ECU stuff - the 'brown thing' is a junction point. have seen it on a few normal 32's don't see it as a patched thing. rev cut. onlly way you are going to work that out is to pop the top on the ECU. modded ones will appear standard externally but you will know if its been modded when you pop the top. take a pic of it with the top off component side up. that will tell us what you have. there's a good chance its been modded by what you are saying. hopefully the mechanical side of it is built to take 9k of daily use.
  12. need to see it. there are 3 versions of that thing. its not something Ican explain via a forum. next time you are in brissy look me up.
  13. chase ALL that stuff in the drivers KP back to its source and REMOVE IT! that is a typical jap alarm fitting. it will all chase back to a black box somewhere around the column. rejoin any thing it cuts.
  14. so you have the navi version of this car. are you in brissy. screen is useable as a CD player screen or TV (that is how the car is setup as standard.) as for adding a DVD or the like- doable. as for fixing it - yes.
  15. kate, I'll grab the licence plate details. from there its up to the owner if he wants to be contacted. do it via QT.
  16. that car is LITERALLY around the corner from me on bayview st.
  17. correct. there is also one for the AC unit and one for the navi/cluster. they are separate. sounds like you have a service manual so you should be able to fix your problem
  18. bin the other one - then its fixed.. not a fan of rice ask anyone who has brought a car in via brissy. there is usually a BIG pile of crap left in the boot once I'm done. the blue lights are not legal anyway. cops/RTA will have a field day with you is they see them on at night.
  19. OE key DOES have a boot button. that is the one in the corner. press and hold it. boot will pop.
  20. 1: HDD for navigation system - useless. the unit will also have a TV and DVD function ( I have two of them here.) DVD will be locked to jpn unless you put a open region DVD in. TV wont really work properly (based ont he two I have here.) 2: no idea. its not a TV controller as you do not have the OE system in place. 3: nice place to put the alarm override. no idea on black switch. looks dealer fitted. 4: antenna system for the remote starter. 5&6: nice remote. chinese unit not oz stds - surprised they left it there (then agin I think I know whose sheets they are using as well.) for insurance it will probably have to come out. 7: microphone for the handsfree setup that goes with the panasonic combo. its not BT. there will be a cable somewhere for a phone to plug into.
  21. its pillarless you know did a similar thing a while back - door locks were stuffed on one car I had - closed the door with the window up - locked! nothing more annoying than having a car running whist trying to open it.
  22. considering that the car has 4 major networks in it its not something that I would even attempt unless you had a background in autoelectrics and electronics.
  23. exactly. if it was a car that I did during compliance I could tell you over the net via PM. I dare say its not. I really need to see the car so I can verify : alarm model, installation, put a face to a name and no if its a 5 min fix (which it sounds that way.) I'm NOT going to charge you. stephen has met me. I'm not an opportunist- I do work on A LOT of these cars daily and have a decent understanding of them. busy- me . never (say he that just finished a sedan and has 4 more cars waiting- none of which are on this forum.) at the very least give me a call during the day- I *may* be able to sort it over the phone. tell me who did the compliance on the car as well . sticker is inside the passenger door.
  24. stylyn car audio - boronia - adam - 0397398866 - mention me.
