  1. a major company does screens for the SEDANS. that sounds like the one you found. they do them nationwide. never had to look for a coupe one though so I cannot be of help there. I'd say the fellow didnt think to ask for coupe or sedan when he booked it. ( the shop that I was at had to specify so they got the right one.)
  2. yep. tear it down fully and replace waht you need to.
  3. find the appropriate terminals and fix it yourself. they are not that bad to fix.
  4. ok htat changes the rules. you got your self in trouble there. is it painted car color?
  5. see bold points. also look inside your passneger door jamb. note the compliance shop that certified that car. call them. if it was QLD based I dare say its listed above.
  6. speak to a compliance shop about it. shogun in brendale is a start. ISASO in meadowbrook is another. both have compliance for the R34.
  7. make sure the 6cd works. where are you btw?
  8. that will be fine. thats what I use in them anyway.
  9. run it past - if its a quick thing - nix.
  10. or the WHOLE lot has been pulled and the base spec stuff has been put in. common when the 6cd stops and its cheaper to do this rather than repair it.
  11. I have experience in that side of it. my van runs the same setup. it was sold with two plain keys and I added a remote one to it, no need to wave flags I just work on these things...
  12. same idea as the remote style key. both have transponder chips in them both are programmed to the car.
  13. dunno then need to see it to debug. car needs to come here.
  14. its in the same place as a V35 - above your left foot. I have used a generic tool (launch 431) on one and it's OBD2 compliant. the protocols are nissan specific for the early ones (later are CAN) but it;s OBD2 ( they put that in place after 96 or so.) working on the V35/M35 theory I do not see a problem with the BLAZT items.
  15. tune it at 45hz -3db should be at 38hz and that will give plenty of decent low freq, set the subsonic at 20hz and cross it at 70-80 hz. that should do it. music taste - what is it?
  16. no need - there are other ways... bury the thing when you do it.
  17. pull the lower dash panel on the drivers side. the in cabin sensor is off to the top left and has a two pin plug and black hose on it. make sure that is plugged in. if its not then you have the issue you have. fuel gauge - thats another kettle of fish.
  18. that tells me whose sheets he used. pull the stalk off and pop the back off of it. there will be a 3 pin plug on it that snakes back into the stalk. check that it is plugged in on both ends.
  19. I do.who complied the car? (tag is in passenger door.)
  20. I'll start popping images up of the one I have currently. I'm curious on how this one is going to turn out myself. I need to get it running first. the doors are done as of today so its time to do a LOT of wiring. then more wood work..
  21. clarion parts do not reopen unitl the 19th. spoke to clarion sales already - they know nothing of the part.
  22. business is slow I take it? ------------- ABN: 18 460 283 054 View ABN history Last modified: 05 Aug 2008 ABN status: Active from 01 Jul 2004 Entity name: SANCAK, SARPER METE Entity type: Individual/Sole Trader GST status: Effective from 01 Oct 2004 Main business location State: VIC Postcode: 3174 Trading name(s) Rogue Bass ------------
  23. I'll stick with the earlier ones. they are easier to pull to bits (three shops have them here in brissy. I have already pulled one down.)
  24. ok amp under passenger seat ( it fits nicely.) ground it on the foward seat mounts - there is a screw/10mm bolt hole there- grind the paint back and earth to that point. RCA leads run toward the radio panel and centre console. speaker wiring can follow. thats not a really big unit so the stock wirng is fine. power can run through the grommet in the passenger kick area and back into the engine bay. speakers- I'd be surprised if they were sealed at all. mitsi used a 6.75" speaker in the front doors and the sony ones are 6" with 6.5" mounts on them. if you have the originals make a plate up for them and drop the sony speakers into that. rears - one of them is touching ground for a start. I'm surprised that amp didn't die. they rely on a seal from the grills to work properly. no seal = crap sound. as for clips - mitsi - they are all of 50c each. get all the ones that are broke. forget the wrecking yards. most of those are stuffed anyway. how was the radio mounted? if its cradled where was it earthed? hopefully to the dash frame and not via the radio antenna. also the heater controls are one piece held in with two semi hidden screws in the top of the ac panel. they DO NOT have to be pulled to bits to get the radio out.. do you have dash lights?
  25. I,m reading this and I'll wait for the full details- what car?
