van is HALF clean. did the wheels already and started with a gurney clean at car lovers. now its time to do the rest. didn't think a white van could get so dirty..
good question. I have yet to see anything else from deloitte regarding this. i do know that council is getting quite narky over this and they have $23m of ferries in negotiation to build and I can't do a thing about it. to me this is a $25k job!
again if you guys are reading this - a call to the council and myself couldnt hurt I'm already out $4k onthe first one and council will NOT pay until complete and I cannot complete it. the second one has been started and that will put me down ANOTHER $4k.
as a teaser I have a few pieces of car electronics up fro grabs via raffle. one of which may help you get to the final destination
want to know what these pieces are - attend the event
two things there. the lock is a different probelm and a BITCH to change. about $300 for a new one ex japan.
the audio issue. look at the amplifer in the rear left corner of the boot. pull that out and down then look for dry joints. the radio does this as well but I have yet to see it.
trying to make up a jig so I can test the radio & A/C panel with out the car. I need this bit to do it. the radio itself will run without the car and I have a small amplifier for the Bose based units already. I just need this bit.
and you are asking WTF is that???
the display that shows what the A/C is doing- I need one for a test jig I'm making. I need it with some wiring ( they have two plugs on them) so I can work with it. would be great if I could get the wirng that feeds the raio panel as well. that would make my job a bit easier.
lately I have been using whatever car I have as a test bed for the unit I'm working on.
nigel,
you have one or know where one is
yep it does! even plays DVDs and TV.
thats easy. I just finished a drive by wire setup that will work as per factory.
as for driving a 35. drive 3-4 a week for 100km round trip and they are quiet, have PLENTY of go ride ok on normal roads.
happy to take you for a run in one if you like. most of the ones I drive are auto as well. manuals are a LOT of fun to drive but it sounds like thats not your thing.
alarm is in valet mode. if it has a blue light it *could* be a 791. have a dig around in the drivers area you will probably find a black pushbutton. actually - ring/PM me. I'll tell you how to get it out of this mode.
for anyone that has this happen:
IE the ENTIRE FRONT PANEL DIES. the AC system is partly powered by the radio . there is a 5v supply that feeds off the radio into the front panel to fire it up. no supply -= no go on radio and AC controls. there are 6 different supplies in this radio 3 of which feed that front panel.
I had another one today so I stripped it, debugged and fixed it.
replace it BEFORE it quits. thye drop when you open/close the door so if it breaks then you will have a small gap to deal with.
the USDM window bits are the same. its the locks that are different.
clarify old hoon (I'm 37.) and I still like driving them.
the list of options on these things will baffle you. some had cameras some had alarms, so had ionisation filters, some had added lighting ... the list goes on.
as for me - buy the car and then we'll sort it out from there.
