  1. unsure about the free thing. though you may need an actuator in the drivers door to get the locks to work remotely. I dont have a contact in perth that I can recomend unfortunately.
  2. you are kidding right?? range on that item is at best 300m line of site. single point of kill on it and worst of all coloured wiring. find the relay satellite or the unit and its taost. how good is that? ----------------- Just got a new car *350Z* & looking to upgrade the stock alarm / immobiliser system, I think I’ll go for an M80. Anyone have any recommendations for a GPS tracking system / service? Links? ---------------- since you are in teh ACT I would look at one that supports your area for starters. also if youwant the police DIRECTLY involved that will alos come into play. Quiktrak does this but they do not cover ACT. most of the GPS units available will give street Co-ords out of the box.. ---------------- i'm liking the idea of the GPS tracking on the Mongoose. Chris, what is the typical number of texts that the unit might send in a month given it is garaged and rarely used? can it be set up only to let you know when there is a security breach, rather than giving you daily updates etc? ------------------ the mongoose one to my knowledge is only a GSM pager. so if you set it off it sends you a text saying so. the one I'm talking about is NOT a mongoose item. that said if you do not drive teh car for a moth it will probably send you a text saying low battery but thats it. if you have a differnet unit in mind can you show me please.
  3. depends on features and whether or not you want the police directly involved or not. I sell quiktrak and I have one myself. Local council use the same system to keep tabs on $26m worth of boats.
  4. 250-300 could buy the alarm but not get it fitted. look at autowatch, mongoose for starters.
  5. we know what is legal to do and what isnt. yes I had done 6x9s in one and it was a VERY tight fit. 7x10 - nope! it took a new shelf for one and a LOT of minor trimming once it was done. they do not fit- leave it at that.
  6. the last line didnt make a lot of sense - yes you can get such a pruduct. take teh panel to a paint shop and ask for a tin of vinyl paint in that coulor. respray it and you are done.
  7. cutting those in will get into the strut towers VERY quickly. sell them and do something else..
  8. yep but they did it my way IE properly.
  9. you put them back in the box they came in and sell them no way they will fit.
  10. same idea as HSV DNA. I sell it and under a magnifying glass it can be seen. good way to ID things
  11. if someone in seqld has one - bring it to me and I'll work out how to answer your question. I want to patch a local nav onto one!
  12. personally I do not put them on. I leave that to the customer.
  13. nope. (or I couldnt get it to fit without a light trim.) 1vs2 - no difference.
  14. good point. how well was it installed though
  15. the one I'm talking about does. fire me a PM for more info.
  16. yes there is. look for an upgrade alarm. mongoose and autowatch do them.
