    Its locked to your phone. so no one else can send messages to it. depending on the unit it will send sms only or you can send sms to it ad have it do things. I have one customer that has a failsafe lockout system (if he locks the keys in the car he can open it with his phone.) off one of these units.

    thats one of them. autowatch CATE and Directed GiSMo ar teh two others.

    when I do them I tell the customer to get a red sim (vodaphone.) and set a lower limit on it. when the card credit drops to $5 it debtis the credit card they have. most start with $30 or so. bearing in mind that every SMS send costs you. so if you have a unit that reports EVERYTHING about your car to you it will take 10-20 SMS messages to do it.

    depends on which car you are talking about I cna confidently say that I can open 90% of the jap cars currently out within a few minutes. then again I do this (car security) for a living.

    x2. not to mention the rude shock when the remote you buy costs more than the alarm itself did. add to the fact that the effective TESTED range on 90% of them is 300m. that becomes even less if your car has factory lead tinted windows. (try 10m -that's the best I have seen) if you want paging done properly buy a GSM paging unit. many flavors available the three that are mentioned though are the better ones. (DEI ,autowatch, mongoose )

    you meant to say you parallel import them. the 5900SS is NOT available in oz and the 791 is a B stock item from DEI meant for mexico. now going further on that DEI will not warrant any part of it so if you do buy you are on your own feet. post your spam elsewhere please.

    give me a ring and I"ll do it for you. 0407-102-839. (8a-5p pls.) if you have any trash in the car I'll remove that too. (I've dropped dashes on these cars to find 3-4 timers ALREADY there!)

    faliuer on a sony indicates you have a shorted speaker (short to body usually. the buzzing noise isthe unit telling you someting is wrong. start by checking your wiring off the radio and then the speakers. nothing to do with the neon kit you fitted.

    catch is out of alignment. they have a disable button on the catch to stop people opening it from the cable release. with eh lock down the only way to open it is with a key - too bad if yours does not work I come across a few cars like this.

    got a different ECU to try. seems to be common thing with teh older 33 ones. the ECU will run fine but no tacho out.

    didnt think they had it factory. tear the door down and you will see a module inside the rear of the door. that is the remote unit.

    there is a two pin plug on the column that has to be disconnected.

    probably going to need to pull the roof. some were on the sides some were just above the antennas (where are yours?). once you find them you will see a 4 core flat cord that feeds them - follow that back and put teh appropriate connector on it. thet are alos powered so note that wire as well are power in up.

    is this unit a new one? if not bin it, thyey haven't been around for years and parts are scarce for them.

    they didn't do anything other than lock/unlock. the unit is a dealer add on and its ALL in the drivers door. with a bit of modding you can make it do the indicators. you need a relay and two 7A diodes to do it.

    if you have the diversity 2 pin plug then you need this: as for the TV antenna - no they are a separate item. if you had the OEM TV setup in it then it will be in the roof with a diversity amplifer.

    sounds like the isolation diode is cactus. its in the drivers kickpanel about halfway up the harness. should have a red/wht wire running into it.

    that or the amplifier in not connected.

    If anyone needs a driver let me know. I'm also donating (for auction) a few items. my car (TT subie) is a way off from being finished and the starlet hasn't got a hope in hell of keeping up.
