  1. those links have been moved to the tech info thread on the top of the page for easier locating
  2. I would be interested in seeing these.
  3. the antenna you are talking about is excess of $150. now if you are trying to get house quality TV in your car YOU ARE WASTING YOUR $$!!
  4. check for shorts first. pull the unit and disconect the speaker wires. connect them one at a time with the unit powered when it stops playing you have isolated teh fault. now the bad part: if you have killed the output stage in it you have just done $150 worth of damage.
  5. no idea without looking at it.
  6. yep a lounge chair and a roof mobile tv is just that- mobile tv. it has WAY too many varaiables in it to maintain clear reception. google TV ghosting , reflections and multipath reflections. for a more technical answer. digital tuners fix it somewhat but not whilst moving. I haev customers with $6m boats trying to do the same thing and I will not do the digital tuner on them due to cost and reception issues.
  7. can you show me what you are talking about exactly? if its a standalone unit then a tuner swap will be needed. where are you btw?
  8. better off with an external module - what are you trying to do exactly and what do y ou want to spend on it?
  9. this one: specs HERE $130 shipped. its the last one and I want to move it.
  10. no probs. blau went back to the specialist only so you wont find a lot of it on ebay. that said if you wanted a kenwood unit at the time you should have asked me ( I also sell kenwood.)
  11. gonna need a wiring diagram for this one. wasn't aware these had that option. there was a torque split diagram floating around on the net for ages but I dont think thats waht you have.
  12. amp I have - new - $130.
  13. check your wiring for one OR the unit doesnt like the crossover network . (put simply.) buy a small amplifier and it will fix it. reason for this being that the amplifier int hat unit MUST see an inductive load across it. now the crossover network willl appear like this to a point (this happens when you take the volume past 1/2 way??) then it will appear capacitive and the amplifier see's no load and goes into protection and shuts the speakers off.
  14. shoot me an email. I keep them in stock.
  15. if you want to persist with teh screen idea - see me..
  16. no comparison. if you said 460-480XV I would say very close. but the 791 has a market and to me security is not it.
  17. show me the one you are talking about.
  18. nah. I'll second the OEM comment though. considering I bought a new combo van and I have no intent of swapping the OEM unit in it (whick is blau.) the top end gear is great! not flashy as some would like but when it comes to sound - damn good for price.
  19. I'll let everyone else comment.
  20. as in 791?
  21. no it wont. the tint on the other hand (if metallic) will.
  22. not too bad actually. I have the price list here if anyone is interested.
  23. I'll second that. for the autowatch the 446 does not do a timer. the 456 does. as for mongoose - I'm a fan of it . never had problems with it (nor autowatch - sell both) glass break I would do and leave the U/sonics out. they do tend to false. since you are in sydney have a chat to security in motion (daniel R34) and be specific with want you want. from there he can sort you out. STEER WELL CLEAR of the antitheft item for reasons stated above. (if you are looking on NS.com - dont bother. it may seem like a good deal until it dies. I also have had a LOT of problems with antitheft units dying for no reason.
  24. I can explain how to fix it , its up to you to do it. find the lights on buzzer unit. find the ign input to it , chuck a 5 pin relay inline with it in this fashion: 30 - unit 87a - car ign input 86 - gnd 85 - 2nd timer output. with the timer going it powers the relay and removes the ign feed off the lights on buzzer letting it work. should make sense once you do it.
