  1. sounds like a story I heard a few years back actually. was in lane cove (northern sydney.) security would be a start or monitored security of sorts.(is there any form on it currently?) your call really. you can be ultra paranoid and keep it in a vac sealed room to look at but where's the fun in that
  2. just read yuour profile - R32 or A31? info I gave was for a A31.
  3. master actuator. you will need to tie it to the lock switch in that door. ( the OEM one that drives teh other doors of the drivers door is usually stuffed!) as for diagnosis : if yo uhave the book -read it. about 3/4 back there will be a few pageds on error chirps and led codes. that will tell you what is up. from there its up to you to adjust it. fire me a PM with the alarm location (I'll help you hide it,)
  4. I do not usde the turbo software on those. placement of the module affects teh remote though. I usuall extand the antenna on them. the one I have on my car has never faulted.

  9. no. in all of the installs I haev done with that unit it only kills the ign circuit. IN NO WAY was it tied to any sensor. now if you have an idling problem I would be looking for codes on the computer. I would also have a spare airflow sensor handy. that sound more like your problem than the alarm. food for thuoght- if you have had a shot at teh fitter for this problem - apologise pls.
  10. think you have your technologies confused. GSM can be jammed CDMA cannot. CDMA is used in military apps.

  13. I keep all of this on hand in a kit for $50 you know. that give you the adapting leads, antenna adapter, and pocket. saves fooling around with diagrams. match colours and bolt the lot together.

  16. if that is the case then you may wish to invest is sound deadening as well ( I sell this) that way you are geeting the best form what you have. alos add an amplifier to it. that will help dramatically. in regard to the rears - 6.5" - dunno where you guys get 6x9s from. teamed with a small sub it will work well.

  18. 6.5 on a custom base works well. saves hacking up the oringinals and the fact that when you do hack iit up they are no longer sealed so you end up with a bit of cancellation.

  22. in my case yes. I know how to use a multimeter and know what to stay clear of when working on the cars. I do- after 17 years doing this I know a fair bit about the cars I do. if I do not then I go to a local dealership and talk to a tech about it ( this is the case with a new benz , porsche,volvo etc.) for a few minutes then go prod with multimeter. - bah, let that info into the wrong hands- would you like your gone with info found on the net. its that easy. trust me I get blamed for things I DIDNOT do daily to cars. its easier not to give info aout in most cases and not have to deal with it. the diagram you linked to is incorrect btw.
