DXV is a separate unit- it plugs into teh aspen- only one screen. that part hides away. I have a aspen here that I will let go for a LOT less than the price advertised. if you are near a phone give me a ring.

sounds like they didn't disconnect the amplifier. (or you didn't connect it when you swapped radios.) I assume you have the premium 8 spk stereo in it. (show methe rear shelf and I'll tell you.)

well I pulled one apart today and I'm not overly impressed with it. (was an SS) too plastic feeling for what is supposed to be a 80K car. most of the car is held on with plastic snaps that seem to disappear very easily. forget about doing the audio- the car will not run without the audio system intact - LITERALLY! (give me time...) it will be interesting what the aftermarket does with it.

not if the actuator has jammed or come loose. rip the panel off and have a squizz.

if you still have the OEM radio use the brackets off it and the storage pocket from an Almera. that will do it. the whole lot bolts together.

leave the remote start off it .. IF you MUST have remote start (assuming its an auto) then the austowatch 288 will do it properly at $1k fitted. if you want a decent alarm that the insuance company likes send me a pm and I'll sell you one.

any nissan past 96 will do it. EG n15.

angela, show me a pic of the remote that should be enough info for me. IF I'm familar with it I'll tell you how to turn on the IGN door lock feature.

I didn't think there was on on the car. if that is the case though and you do have a lock button then get an actuator added to the drivers door and have it tied to the other door wiring so when you hit the button on hte door they both lock. and I did note the original poster was female.

does it lock the passenger door now once start driving? if that is the case then get an actuator added to the drivers door and tie it to the other one. now if you want it to lock with the start of the car then do teh above and trip the lock switch with a relay it will lock on startup. you then manually unlock it (or with the switch.) when you need to open it. can be done by anyone with a bit of knowledge on the car. what car btw S1 or S2?

if you haev left over 5" them use them in the rear on a plate - run them off the radio and do a decent set of 6.5" splits up front with a 10-12" sub. that will work nicely and allow you to reuse some of waht you have. sell the 6x9s if you haven't already- they will not fit without serious modification to the rear shelf which in QLD makes teh car unroadworthy.
