  1. just undo the plug on th column - easier!
  2. do you have a lights on reminder??
  3. your last request will take a bit of fiddling with relays- doable but a challenge. you need to tell the module that the car is 'off' and from there it will work. a single relay off the second output off the timer will do it. as for the key beep. see above post I answered that one.
  4. you know a mate of mine. top bloke trav. job looks good as well.
  5. door open or key in warning? if its the key in one the best way is to pull the column shroud off and unplug a two pin brown plug on the key barrel. that shoudl silnce it.
  6. the utrak system is being revised again ( I know the fellow designing it VERY well.) when its done you can track the vehicle in real time via GPRS. two things to consider here - you asked for cheap and good in the same phrase. if that is the case then its not going to happen, for GSM paging - GiSMo + mongoose M80G if the car is sneezed on you will know. I can get the GSM unit custom programmed to tell you EXACTLY what has been tripped on you car of if it is being towed. total bill $1350. have done 3 like this now and it makes for some piece of mind.
  7. spoke to someone in perth about a 33 thought it may have been you.
  8. doesn't matter. was is you that I spoke to yesterday?
  9. if its a 32 gtr I see there then the stacker is going to be a VERY old sony 10 disc. better off replacing the radio as the chances of finding one working alre going to be fairly low.
  10. randy, if it was earlier than 85 I would agree with you. anything mazda after that wasn't common wiring.
  11. take a snap of the rear plug- i want to look.
  12. funky, your mates are correct. install is everything. that said I have a local bit writer and it will do all the units O/S and here. elite. fire me a DIRECT email (in sig) and I'll help you.
  13. correct. if you have the stock amp its in the rear speaker plug on a 33,34 and in the main one on a 32. nissan NEVER earth through the harness always to frame.
  14. one thing to also look at (now that I have mroe info) is the crossover network. depending on how lound you have it most amplifiers will go into protection at 3/4 volume so that may be a thing as well. first thing I would do would be to eliminate te crossover on the offending side and see. as for power - nope. you will kill them with too little power but that isn't your current problem.
  15. ok if its a sedan check the rear wiring ont he speakers. if you shove a lot of stuff in the boot there is a good chance that you have knocekd the terminals off the speaker and they are shorting. this will do a few strange things to the radio- one of which you have already described.
  16. find the black wire on the radio and bolt it to the frame. the red/blk wire you have is the amplified antenna run that to the blu or blu/wht wire on your radio. (I'm going to do a snip of this post and use it elsewhere.)
  17. car type(model) pls and I'll attempt to help. a pic of the radio would be nice as well.
  18. betcha I can drive your car away
  19. turn the wheels full lock left and take the inner guard out. huge F'off grommet on the body - theres ya hole
  20. the hole you are loking for is onthe drivers side above the accelerator pedal. access to teh other side is via the wheel well.
  21. depends on which one? (there are 3 of them.)
  22. click this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...sg&id=60080 that will give you the translations.
  23. the holes are there for ventilation. when you close the car the air inside has to go somewhere for the doors to close easily.
  24. 9mm mdf will do nicely. sanding is a must on the sides and back of it.
