that is 'close' but not the same as the keys are different and they run an external calsonic remote fob.

whilst I have a scan tool that can read these cars and program keys to them the main point of it is the immobiliser codes. if you do not have those then you are wasting your money. you need to see someone with a C2, C3, carmen scan OR a launch X431 full size unit. all of them will recode the car but with out the imobiliser code you are pretty much screwed. nissan are the only ones that can do that. sending an email to nissan japan is OUT as they will refer it back to nissan oz. FTG nissan would be my pick of the dealers. they do GTR and seemed quite helpful when I took imports there for key work. start there.

I did the run from CBA - blarney -> dubbo -> tamworth -> bne. that was a rep run for the business. if I had done a straight shot then 13 -14 hrs would be about right. I was talking to people along the way. met myself a few times now. do not know that person.

has anyone seen the cost of 32 parts lately free parts are cheap if you can get away with out making any noise doing so. have a think about this when you park one without an alarm on it. if it does surface in one piece - call me.

in all honesty cost it up. looking at what you have said I would toss it on a truck and meet the car at the depot when it landed. seems cheaper than driving it UNLESS you want to do the run for the experience and have the time to do so.

if you are doing the newell I STRONGLY suggest doing it during the day. the wildlife out there WILL damage a car. its 1600 km and 23 hrs at a decent rate. its a 3 day drive doing it casually. I did 22 hrs from canberra back up that way in Oct and lost the side of my van to a 6' grey roo.
