troy, R32 had a drop down centre armrest. that makes the concept a bit easier. only thing being is that I am not sure if that was a sedan only thing or a trim level on the 32. mine does not have it. also the steel barrier behind the seat would need modding and strengthening.
all of that black flex pipe and sock is crossed about every 15ft or so into a + fashion. it all terminates at the one point in the last photo.
the result is a fairly quick draining yard.
thats it. if it was dead that would be red.
see you sunday after I get rid of a R34. from there we can go for a strap on the back roads and I can log this thing to see why it does what it does.
further point : the first shot with the digger:
there was a garden there with a pergola and that made a major mess when it rained - that is all gone now.
had a similar problem and I am below street level. two runs of 5" pipe down both sides of the property with 4 square drains down each side of the house . it used to take 3-4 min of solid rain to flood the place. now its 30-40min of the same rain. I think I am 2-3 ft lower than the street.
took two of us about a week to do and about $500 in materials.
used a fair bit of sock and ag pipe as well. that and a decent layer of crushed rock about 6-10" under the top soil. the ditch is FULL of crushed rock as well. using that in itself drains that area quite well.
does that help?
also if money is not a concern -buy a R35. that will pull the chicks and get you thrown in jail at the same time.
if you were doing a resto like I am then I could POSSIBLY see your point. at the moment I see a kid and dreams.
put up or shut up
