  1. to be honest if I didn't need a chassis number to register the thing I could pretty much build it from scratch. small brackets are dying out but all the major panels are around. that rear shelf was bought locally ex MLB and most of the car is ex MLB. trim bits are ex osaka for me but still available. the electrics are extinct that's why I an rebuilding some of the harnesses and changing the old ones over for newer ones. one thing I DO need though it the rear fuel tank strap support (bottom of spare tire well rear of car - left side) as that bit is NOT available and everyone I have found has been rusted out.
  2. new rear shelf. this fixes the missing lower right corner problem I now have with the existing one. These ARE NOT cheap! new rear shelf - close up for part number. rebuilt harness for the drivers door. the one on the right has been redone to accept a factory actuator. still yet to replace the body grommets. the oval one is hard to find intact. the one on the left is a spare R32 item I pulled out of a trashed door. used it as a guide to place things. close up showing the difference. Plain R32 has a two pin plug on it for the central locking switch. these never had the actuator on the drivers side from factory. Some of the GTRs had Dealer fitted keyless entry on them and they HAD this setup. Tthe *new* harness has a 4pin plug to take the factory actuator and route is to the stock control box in the drivers kickpanel. the plug part of the new harness was taken from a later RPS13 180SX as those HAVE the actuator in the drivers door.
  3. hit ^^ this guy ^^ up for one. as for compliance shops. there are a few that do them. RAWS.ORG.AU will tell you who they are.
  4. shame you are on that side of the country. mate of mine has one he's stuck with (073881-1800 -craig) and will probably deal on.
  5. spent a couple of hours building/testing door harnesses last night. both have been rebuilt to LOOK original but the drivers one now has a OEM actuator harness stubbed into it. I stil have to mod the body harness to take that so that it works from the original controller. have a few images that I will put up later and a few new parts.
  6. certainly can - what color do you need?
  7. yep its still in a thousand pieces though. got a steering column and plastics for it today
  8. thats fine. find someone that will insure you with it
  9. plenty around there. watch yours though. it may become someone elses quite quickly if you leave it unattended.
  10. noticed that you can get E85 in mansfield now. that suits me , means I do not have to drive to ipswich every two weeks for fuel. (50/50 mix with 98 for the subaru.)
  11. dan brewer, bentleys are your thing - which one had the pop up screen with a DVD/navi in it? had a call today from a customer wanting one reworked. could not get any further info about the thing..
  12. red car rings a bell in my books - see who did the alarm on it.
  13. forget about the Viper units and forget about RS. illegal in every state and its a defect if you get caught with it. take JRMs advice. actually disregard her adivce. someone will take the car from underneath your nose anyway. given that most of the viper stuff is suited for the US market and drops 1 POINT on the car the are good for wank features only. if we are talking a THATCHAM ALARM (The old ones were 460/480XV ) they are stds approved and van do a fair bit of stuff IF installed properly. properly to me is a full interior strip and the unit buried. ask whoever quoted you that price if they do that
  14. you MAY want to be careful doing that one. xanai like to store code on those boards for the radio and AC controls. you *MAY* rewrite your AC system. food for thought. as for bits - happy to help. I source directly from japan on a daily basis.
  15. I can probably help there. failing that FTG nissan speak import quite well.

  22. dan, yet to check if its at the shop or not.(he rang me this morning and I told him to send the towie my way and drop the key off to it. I will look at it tomorrow. this car will also be used for the tech night on security as it will show the people there how the thing was stolen. I will call you tomorrow re tracker - there is a fair bit more to it than that.
  23. rear guard is here. yet to pick it up but it has landed. once I pay for that it is a full strip of the thing again and then onto the panel shop for prep/fitting/paint.
