    great rims - and great condition - worth the asking price and more I reckon. If i hadn't just bought new rims I would probably snap these up.

    Correct. Involves fitting four sealed beam projectors into the reflector bowls. Not for the faint hearted - involves putting your lights in the oven and cutting up the housings with a dremel amongst other things......but if you get it all lined up right - the results are staggering.

    I don't mean this in a condescending way but I think what will be best is if you take your car to autobahn etc - buy some Phillips Plus 90 globes or similar for the low beam. The bottom mounted light is a dual filament globe for fogs/highs - buy a matching globe and drive with your fogs on at the same time as your low beams - that's the easiest legal way to get the most out of your lights.

    Going on a white supra. Looks quite good, it's an aggressive fitment.

    nah - they're going on a Supra. I'm on the hunt for replacements now - but in the mean time, stock rims for some stealthy, gutter bashing goodness. Might even let the girlfriend have a drive while she can't do any damage lol.

    Mate - I got no idea how many km's. It's nothing worth worrying about. I had R34 calipers with Project Mu pads on my Stagea and those things were like nails down a black board. Tried everything from spray to disassembling the calipers and fitting anti shim squeal glue - horrendous noise. Taught me how to engine brake pretty good though! This is nothing compared. Top be honest, so long as the car stops I'm happy - not too concerned about brake fade under racing conditions - I'd rather have a soft touch, low dust pad that has good peddle feel and doesn't coat my rims in harmful oxidising and annoying brake dust - and these seem to fit that bill so I don't ask any more questions hahah.

    ^ i did some reading a few weeks back also and there were stories of double sided tape pulling off and people having to put self-tappers through them to get them to sit right etc. With something like this - if it don't look nice, it looks rice.

    maybe - but i'm seeing a distinct lack of fitment pics in that thread - despite requests. some of these feet like crap - and if it's not seamless and ends up just looking stuck on - then I'd rather not.

    they're ok - haven't really stopped the car hard - so can't really tell you, but they squeek ever so slightly at crawling speeds, and very low dust.

    ^ depends how they have gone about it in compliance. some will just glue in H1 globes. some will put adapters in. some will file out the globe mounts......would need a photo. But if they have changed the globes, they usually mark on the headlight what they have been changed to. Open the bonnet and look on the black plastic for an engraving or a stamp of what the headlight takes now - probably H1 or H4. Best case scenario, they haven't mangled it and you can revery back to D2R. (NOT D2S!!) you can buy D2R PNP (plug n play) kits from plenty of places. If you want good quality - go to theretrofitsource.com and buy a 35W morimoto setup - i recommend 5000k globes for best balance between output and appearance, or 4300k for pure light on the road ability. if you're brave enough - and handy with the fiddly stuff - a quad retro fit cannot be beat for looks and output. I have just ordered all the parts to start this project.......

    thanks Carbon, have you had a play with the old one before? they seem to be the way head units are moving - but it's first mover technology at the moment and seems to have some hot n cold reviews. I think the main drawback is that we don't get Pandora here - and that it isn't compatible with Spotify - only Rdio.

    has anyone had any experience with the Pioneer AppRadio 2? Seems we got the clunky AppRadio 1 in Oz - but they've not yet updated ot AppRadio 2. Have found a few instances of people having installed grey import versions, but there is a question mark over the radio frequencies being compatible which I can't seem to get an answer on.

    Also, supercharged you can upgrade the exhaust system built for an N/A - bolt it on and get gains for the supercharger - but if you ever remove the s/c you can still keep the exhaust in place. Where as turbo, you'd have to get a custom system made at least up to the cat's. Remove the turbo, and that all has to come off with it. Just a small thing - but take it from a guy who has had to remove a turbo system from an n/a motor TWICE to get it through EPA. Not fun.
