  1. Could you pm me the same info? Cheers Justin
  2. ... We're driving a really nice black s2 Stagea with a Dayz kit.
  3. Could you share the adapter mount measurements pleeeeeeeeeeeeease? Cheers Justin
  4. Yeah that'd be great. Cheers Justin
  5. The turbo won't flow enough hp for the dump to be a restriction... don't bother re-making somthing. I've blown 3 kkr430's on 2 different rb20's... both dead. Word of warning, keep the shaft speed slow and the egt's down! Loop the water lines together with some hose. Cheers Justin
  6. Don't buy the rip off splitfires (yellow jackets/Just Jap/Red jackets etc) as they're a poor substitute. The voltage output is all over the show and the latency is very slow. They also don't seem to last to long either. Origional or Splitfires. Cheers Justin
  7. Don't bother swapping the manifolds...
  8. Hey Damo, sweet.. I may be up your way next week, I'll shoot you a pm. Cheers J.
  9. How about bolting a truck stack to the passenger guard? Hot rod (cobra style) shrouded side pipes instead of side skirts? Under the car, into the cabin behind the passenger seat, out through the rear guard behind the passenger door... Just build a box/heat shield over it in the cabin. J.
  10. I used to add a 20% mix of toluene to 98. The difference was quite noticable on the dyno over straight 98. Also added some measure of insurance when drag racing. This was back in 2004-2006. Just wear gloves when you pour it and DON"T BREATH IT IN!!! A 30% mix is about all you can get away with. Toluene is a little harder on your fuel lines, but who cares if you replace them every 3 or 4 years! Cheers Justin
  11. Well fk it all and turn the dump pipe upside down... run it right out the bonnet! H a ha ha.
  12. Out the passenger door! Have a look at russ's build thread for they're black r34gtr (hi-octane 34) for an awsome side pipe!
  13. My VL turbo was around 1100 to get built up fairly well... but that was 8 years ago. Unless the 33 box slides right in, then the cost for the conversion might be 300-800 bucks depending on wiring... I doubt that the box will handle the torque though- dunno, ask marty. Definately use redline auto trans oil whatever you do. Turn the boost down, save some money and build a box... The cost of a box will be about the cost of a good clutch! Cheers Justin
  14. I think you'll find that's about on the money... They're a great turbo if you'r running BIG boost numbers. Don't expect tooo much from 20psi. Cheers Justin
  15. Hey Kurt, don't you have a spare r31 auto box??? Your best bet would be to send the spare auto box away to get built up (more clutchs, bigger bands, shift kit etc) to handle the extra power... That way it will swap straight in without any buggering around... to put a 33gts-t auto in would be alot of stuffing around.. and it won't last as long as a properly build box anyway. Cheers Justin
  16. That'd be some good info... Dose anyone have a passenger side driving light they can donate (for a small fee)? Cheers Justin
  17. Hey Trent, do you still have the egt data for the greddy plenum/RB26? Cheers Justin
  18. Hey Kurt, I'll have to come round and check it out now that you've got her tuned up... I'm glad to see Marty got it all sorted out for you. Do you still have a stock plastic intake pipe? For eveyones info, Tassie dosn't have road worthy certs every year and I've never seen a 'defect' sticker... I've been driving heavily modified imports for 10 years. The only thing I've heard of is tickets for bald tyres, lights, loud exhausts and driving offences. Oh and there's no limmit for p platers. Cheers Justin
  19. If you supercharged it with an off the self kit, you could probably cut 3-5k out of the budget. If you compare the cost of a VH conversion to an rb30 conversion, it's not that far off... Rebuilt to stock spec with OS cast pistons, adapting mods, head mods, adapter plate etc 8.5k As quoted by Lewis. Tune and nisstune 1.5k Fuel Pump .5k Cooler Kit .75k Exhaust 1.5k Re-built turbo/Highflow 1.5k Coilpacks, belts service parts 1k Engine mounts .5k (to clear strut brace properly) Auto shift kit and cooler 1k Coolant bubbler tank .5k Engineering 1k Brakes 1k And you cant sell the 100k AWD rb25, loom, sensors, box and ecu say minus 4k VH- $25k RB30- $20k Or If you wanted a built/forged engine add another 3k. Not that far off... Cheers Justin
  20. I have just recently bought my first Stag, a realy nice black s2 rs4 with a dayz kit and coilovers. Putting an AWD VH41/5 was the second thing I thought of. Ha ha ha... I was very seriously looking a putting an AWD VH41/5 into one of my r32 gtr's... Veeeery interesting. You'll see my posts on the nico VH forum. If I was to do (I still might) the swap into a stag, I would retain the VH auto gearbox (as I use my stag to tow with) rebuild the VH41 with VH45 Crank and Rods then bolt a positive displacment supercharger to the top of it with a sanwiched water to air cooler. Nice quiet exhaust, stock air box and all origional looking... You'd have to do somthing about the 'weaker' rear end if you have that model, get the gear ratio's right and it would be a really good thing. The hardest part would be the electronics and awd hydralics intergration. Ahhh... just dont have the time! Cheers Justin
  21. Your a mad man Chris... Wow there's some work in just stripping a car back that much! Not to mention re-building one back to better than new. Justin
