NOW I'm exited.... What comp cover is it? I don't think my stock rb25 is going to like 30psi/350+ rwkw... I'd love to see the dyno sheet. Cheers Justin

Single Weldon pump FTW.
-
It would be very interesting, especially with 2x well sized wastegates.
-
... yep that'll do nicely. Any chance of digging up they dyno sheet Trent? Cheers Justin

GT Garage/Nick Summers dose mostly tuning as far as I know. If you need some mechanincal work done and Nick can't help, Marty at Mobile Mechanics in Moonah/Hobart is doing alot of my work. You'll have to spend a couple of days banging up and down the west coast. You'll have to pick your re-fueling spots though... I'm not sure how many servo's carry 98 in the 'outer' areas. Cheers Justin

Hope so... just no toooo interesting. Ha ha ha.

I was thinking 2x L2 20g 6cm if I can find a pair- Raced 10cm t517z's, have a td05 kit and I wan't a little more... 500rwkw+ is goood. I've given up trying to fing the 'ultimate' hp v's response turbo set up... I just wan't somthing that puts a big smile on my face! Cheers Justin

A Boy's Love For His Rb20
XRATED replied to Roy's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Wholeee bugeesus.... 300 from a stock internal 20! Whooohooo!!! Hey Damo, is there any e85 servo's in Tas yet? Cheers Justin -
While we're on the TD subject... What combination TD 06's have people run as a twin kit on a rb26, rb28, rb30? I'm thinking about going a little ol'skool. Cheers Justin

Yeah stock 100k rb25. It's currently hanging off a stock manifold with a wastegate adapter and 46mm PT wastegate. I do have an HKS low mount manifold waiting in the wings if it works out ok. 650cc injectors, nistune, rb20 loom/ecu (in an r32gts-t), port matched greddy copy intake manifold, gtr cooler, n1 oil pimp, vct switch, 4" cat, hks super dragger, splitfires... Actuall killing the same number coil pack right now. J.

Why would you get 'stickered' for a turbo conversion on a vl in Tassie? What is 'stickered'? a defect notice? I think it's awsome that your doing somthing different, I'm just trying to work out the reasoning. Can't wait to see the pic's As I stated above, a water to air intercooler would be your most stealthy option. Hovever, a small air to air intercooler painted black behind the standard front bar would be almost un-noticable. Also, you could cut your standard plastic intake and fitt the metal charge pipe inside to the throttle body.. then chuck a fake air filter on the end of it. ha ha ha Justin.

What do you want out of it? A 5557 .82 exhaust with the surge port (4 inch inlet, 2.5inch outlet) comp cover would be killer on the street. Billet comp wheel, twin ceramic bb core (that dosn't need water cooling). Super responsive 280-300rwkw Once we sort the wiring/ignition problem on my guinea pig stock rb25/plain bearing 5557 combo, I'll be able to post the results... not long now.

No one in the US realy stick with low mounts. Last I asked, they would re-engineer low mount turbo's for around 1800usd per turbo. They don't really do small turbo's though... The 5557 that I have is almost the smallest billet turbo they do. BTW. the 5557 comes in 3 different comp housings including a 3 inch inlet and 2 inch outlet- with a t3 exhaust flange that would look very stock, it's just the wastegate you have to get creative with. J.

Who's putting it together for you? Then who's tuning it? Tas is cold... but not that cold. to keep it stealth (Why stealth anyway??? just wondering) have a look at finned charge pipe work and/or water to air heat exchanger/intercooler. I'd like to see a photo. Cheers Justin

Evo Brembos On A R32 Gtr
XRATED replied to Dominic's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I found 2x full sets while I'm here in Florida and picked them up for 700 bucks. I cant buy r33 brembo's for that. Plus they're for my little r32gts-t not my GTR. Both sets were from warranty replacments because the factory paint was messed up. Apparently it was fairly common for one of the production runs for the paint to peel on the calipers. The seals and pistons looked perfect. I figure that as I'm going up in front rotor size, I'll need to get adapters made either way. Also the pistons on the EVO calipers look to be a little bigger than the 33/34 brembo's, the have the external pressure line, there is a huge choise of pads and heaps of data/testing from the US EVO guys. I can also run wider disks. But it's mostly price. Justin. -
I've been on at the guys to develop a low mount set for rb26... they just keep telling me that there isn't a market in the US for them (well there isn't) but they will custom make you a set. J.

Evo Brembos On A R32 Gtr
XRATED replied to Dominic's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah... waht Roy said. The r34 gtr master is the same diameter and almost the same stroke as the EVO IV master cylinder (I'm planning on using a 34gtr master cylinder). The EVO bias is a little too rear for a 32 gts-t. I'm planning to go up a size in front rotor (EVO front rotor is 320mm, I'm going with a 354.6mm front rotor) and same diameter in the rear (300mm). I'm hoping this will bring the bias forward enough... if all else fails I'll just install a bias adjuster to cut a little more off the rear. Just have to design and fab some nice 6000 series billet adapters. J. -
If anyone has a 150ft+ superyacht thats broken, I can fix it cheap for you.... ha ha ha No really. Justin.

Fuel Pump Requirement For Rb26 600whp
XRATED replied to dreamers's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If you don't want to run a surge tank, try a 040 intank then an 044 in series... mount the 044 under the car and use the stock fuel lines. I'd also suggest running the 044 from a speed controller/pwm. Or use your stock fuel pump to feed an undercar surge tank, and use a single good quality fuel pump such as a weldon a2005-a or 2015-a. -
R34 Brembos On R32 Gtr
XRATED replied to Deano 1's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Have a look at the UAS upgrade packages... They move the caliper (r32 or r34) out and use a larger rotor. Along with fluid and pad upgrades you'll be golden. There's not much point just upgrading the calipers without larger rotors. You may have to upgrade to a 34gtr master cylinder for the 34gtr front calipers... I believe (don't quote me) the 34 master cylinder bolts up. Cheers J. -
Evo Brembos On A R32 Gtr
XRATED replied to Dominic's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The EVO calipers I bought feel alot lighter than the r33 calipers I have on my 32gts-t.... A 2 piece 355 rotor isn't going to be much heavier than the stock iorn rotor. I'm not a huge fan of welded steel for brakes. J. -
Stick with the well established brand names for cam gears... if the cam gears fail you'll have a hell of a mess- think bent valves and broken pistons. My preffrence is Greddy. J.

XRATED replied to Dominic's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The 2314's look to be the go for the front end and somthing like 929's for the ass end... Can anyone pm me what they're paying to get adapters/dogbones fabricated? I can do the design. Also what materials are people using? Cheers Justin -
The Giant Alignment Thread
XRATED replied to turbo_brian's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Whats a good short course/motorkhana/slow speed alignment set up? I have a 32gtst, coils, caster arms, rear camber arms, pinapples, rack extension and ends etc.... Ha ha ha,, and a turbo that's waaay to big!
