  1. After installing all the hardware, is it best to disconnect the coil pack loom or something else before cranking?
  2. Do you track with that oil too? What sort of temps are you getting at track if you do?
  3. I've recently put an ebay special lock bar in. Haven't had a chance to test it out on track yet though.
  4. What happens if I recently transferred $70?
  5. Please post results when you test as I'm interested in your findings. Thanks!
  6. For future record, I found that the easiest way I found of getting the two bolts out (after you've pulled the shrouding and unplugged the cables) is to use a Dremel cutting disc to cut two slots in the bracket/bolt. Use a flat head screwdriver to undo the screws, then reuse the screws to fasten the new ignition barrel. Job is pretty easy and can be knocked over in 30 mins.
  7. Looks like you guys had a great day out! Gutted I missed it. Got to my car this morning and the drivers window was forced down with the ignition barrel stripped. The assholes caused a few other headaches with my car so I didn't manage to fix everything up till early afternoon
  8. Reviving thread from the dead. My car was broken into last night, had the alarm siren cut out of it and ignition lock barrel mangled. I'm looking for an auto electrician (pref in the eastern suburbs) who can help me think of some ideas of starting the car with things like hidden switches and the like, instead of using the key.
  9. I had pretty easy dealings with them in December both on the phone and email. [email protected] Phone: (02) 9620 9000
  10. My daily. Great little car to get around in, and doesn't ever attract unnecessary attention.
  11. http://www.autosphere.com.au/ I buy most of my oils from them
  12. Awesome! I'm interested in tagging along to the first event of the year this Saturday. Is there any chance I can get details (can't access members forum) PM'd to me in expectation of membership?
  13. I'm not too sure about rails. I have a Bride seat with Bride FG seat rail which is adjustable back and forth, but I'm not sure if they are cross compatible. If UAS can't advise you on a rail, maybe Revolution Racegear or RaceDeal.com can suggest something from their range? http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?PCID=10554 http://www.racedeal.com/shop/item/seat-mounts-for-fixed-back-seats http://www.racedeal.com/shop/item/sparco-set-slide-runners
  14. UAS is selling them for $650 now + shipping (~$100 depending on where you live) http://www.uniqueautosports.com.au/Parts-Shop/sparco-pro2000-seat-3352.aspx
  15. Let me in! Transferred monies around xmas. Let me know if you need more details from my application.
  16. Does the Bride seat back protector a replacement cover for the whole seat, including the thigh supports?
  17. Has anyone considered running an intercooler water spray for their oil cooler to get temps further down? Maybe even an intercooler water spray that has a split barb to spray both the intercooler and oil cooler Was thinking along the lines of this as it uses the existing wiper fluid bottle and off the shelf parts: http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2720/article.html
  18. I removed the bits outside and installed a lock bar. For the inside, I removed the HICAS light so that it didn't glow on my cluster. Not sure what else you can do easily apart from putting the HICAS computer back in.
  19. I think the problem with anchoring them to the parcel shelf is that the metal there is no where near as strong as where the seat belt anchor points, or a proper harness bar will be. The risk is that in a collision, the mounting bolts may rip away from the parcel shelf. Not worth the risk considering a harness bar is only $300-400!
  20. I received my BC ER coilovers (12f/10r), installed them and had an alignment last week. I also installed camber arms at the same time to dial in more negative camber as it's mainly a street registered track car. Have only driven them on the street and a late night mountain run so far, and they are really good. I'm coming from a stock setup, so it's probably not really a fair comparison. They are 20 from full hard on front and rear atm. They are firm but not bone jarring, and I could easily drive with them like this daily. I also have a fixed back seat which would transfer more shock to me than a stock seat. Will report back in 2-3 months as I'll have a couple of track days and motorkhanas under my belt with them by then. Bought them from Garage7. Highly recommend dealing with Evan there as he was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the whole sale as these were custom spring rates he had to request from BC.
  21. This is probably due to the angle of the harness straps after you mount them to somewhere like your rear seat anchors. Check out page 4 in Schedule I of the CAMS regs: http://docs.cams.com.au/Manual/GeneralRequirements/GQ10-Schedule-I-2014-1.pdf The other option is to look at getting a harness bar. These are removable so you can still fit passengers in the back when you're not at the track.
  22. Pretty much new brackets as you can see from the pics. Comes with mounting bolts. More info here: http://www.gktech.com/index.php/r33-gts-t-caliper-bracket-to-suit-324mm-r33-gtr-rotor-1.html Don't pay $129 + postage. I'm only asking for $100 INCLUDING express postage to most capital cities (except Darwin) and regional centres. Please PM if you're interested or want to throw me an offer.
  23. I understand that it's a different car, but they're of similar weight (within 100kg), and the guy in this review said his 12/10kg setup is quite comfortable. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gd-suspension-handling-stiffening/168885-bc-racing-er-series-coilover-comprehensive-review.html How stiff do you think your 8/6kg combo feels?
