  1. Good stuff - its so easy to get to, here's a pic to give you an idea
  2. Loving the look of that R34!
  3. Jetstar are having a sale Also accommodation is easy, there's lots of places to stay in the city and you'd be mad to not stay in the city. From there, there is a train that goes very close to EC - then a cab ride which would probably be under $10 each way.
  4. Sometimes there is a thing as "too much" carbon Which wheels did you get?
  5. Hahaha, that's great, yeah if you've conveniently forgotten when I was in your car and saw it happen - oh well that cant be helped. I cbf'd arguing, simple as that. I'm not going to resort to insults either. As I said; Good luck with the build, if it turns out to be good then great - hopefully more people will buy them.
  6. Wow good call Nick
  7. One problem with new people hearing about trackdays is that you dont realise that bad news travels fast, but trackdays happen every day around the country at different tracks without incident - you dont hear about them cause nothing goes wrong and no one says "Hey man did you hear nothing went wrong today at Wakefield? Yeah, it was a great day and everyone had fun". Fix your brakes, they will cop a hammering and going quick with crap brakes is just dumb. Once you've done that, go to any day by John Boston and he can teach you the basics or go to any SAUNSW days where tuition is on offer. Wakefield is the best choice of places to go to learn, dont go to MDTC unless you're sure you'll stay on the black stuff. Are you sure circuits are your thing? Some guys seem to prefer skidpans (myself included thesedays) and there's a huge section of guys that do both.
  8. Yes I'm aware HKS (well, all Japanese companies) err on the side of caution with part ratings whereas here we just push them until they break or another component reaches its limit. I'm a strong believer in the stock cranks being good parts and yes they've been proved over and over by various builds/shops so as for the actual power level this will deal with - well someone needs to push one and see - there was a lot of keen comments earlier in this thread but it seems to have died down which is a shame, but when you're comparing the step zero to other offerings out there I personally don't see it as worthwhile because IMO if you're going to spend the money and build an engine with a cast crank you may as well get the best increase for the money spent so unless you have to stay with the stock block for some reason, skip 2.8, go 3L and save some money.
  9. Please, go do that and tell us how you go
  10. Hows it going thesedays?
  11. Superlap is on again next week, I wonder if that will remotivate Andrew once more...
  12. Hahaha great find Bobby!
  13. Just when you thought it did decent skids, you go for an RB30 Good choice RB30; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTPLXUwuzz8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  14. Yep that one was on the list! Hooray!!
  15. Sounds like a build on American Hotrod Huge list, small amount of time, a deadline that isn't moving.
  16. You cant renew rego without CTP, so every time you will have to sort it out before going to the RTA. Also, the CTP companies send details of payment to the RTA so you dont have to...
  17. Of course, otherwise how will it have rego? It will not need comprehensive insurance as long as it's locked up somewhere safe, that's one way to save some money over the next 6 months or so
  18. It wasn't edited, you're just not opening your eyes enough Top, bottom, middle, I don't see how its placement is rude? Not having a source would be rude.
  19. Source is linked above....
  20. Nice spray job on the underside of the bonnet there!
  21. TRIO OF MP4-12C GT3 RACE CARS TO STAR FOR McLAREN GT AT TOTAL 24 HOURS OF SPA Source; McLaren Media A real shame we wont have this broadcast locally on the "sport" channel OneHD
  22. That wont work, they back date the date so if you get a pink slip on the last day (eg 3 months from expiry), you'll only have 9 months of rego left after you pay at the RTA. Make sense? Easiest is just to leave it registered the whole time. For rego questions I find its best to go direct to the person who will pass or fail and ask them. I use Greg at Autosport for stuff like that, he's about 20 mins from you or so, stacks of skyline experience.
  23. Loctite aswel They're just a car, and a very overpriced one at that
  24. Ok, here's a constructive comment for a change; There's very little R35's around in the entire country, then again the section of those that is silver is smaller again. So the chances are pretty small. On top of that, the chances are that if one was available and in Silver, they'd live in Sydney. So out of the $200 on offer, they'd be making $150 after expenses... ....but the biggest issue? Someone with an R35, which is worth over 100k, probably has plans that dont involve formal runs. Sorry to be blunt. You're better off to find a nice R34 GTR (and there's certainly a few of them on here) and make the offer to the owner. If you find one with a big exhaust and cams it will sound downright angry and lets face it, you want it to stand out in the crowd and have a better car than your friends - the sound of a tuned RB26 at idle with cams will sound so much better than the usual formal cars like H2 hummers, S class Merc's etc, believe me that will grab attention. Here's something I took my mates sister in to her formal a few years ago, this thing sounds great and there wasn't a single person in that line not looking at it. Sounded a million times better than the other cars there on the day; End of the day, you'll have better luck finding an R34 GTR. Good luck with it.
  25. The Government get away with anything they like, they're this countries biggest criminals IMO
