Everyone,
This thread has run its course.
What happened was an accident, the first at one of our days out of about 9 years running them and the first one the Wakefield staff have ever seen at a club trackday.
This was not a raceday, so any references to incidents on race days is silly. Thunder/Greg im looking at you here.
We, ths club execs, do everything possible to make these days as safe as possible and as enjoyable and rewarding to participate in as humanly possible.
As far as myself and the other execs are concerned to have one incident in so many years of running these days we are happy that the safety record is so good but on the other hand we are still working very hard to make sure we evaluate the day, make changes as we see fit and continue running these days. We know most of the people there on the day, and we care. Simple. We arent a business doing this to make money, we do this for the enjoyment of members and that will always be the case. If anyone has any realistic suggestions, feel free to pass them on, or better yet come along and help run the day.
With that said, we are working to release the entry forms for the next Wakefield day and the next Texi day aswel, so like always, come along and have a go, we dont bite and as so many people have said in this thread, SAUNSW club events are fun, safe and affordable.
This thread will now be locked. Not because anyone has anything to hide, but because everything that needs to be said has been, anything from here on in is just arguments for the sake of arguments.
Cheers
-Steve
SAUNSW President.
