i was checking a nice low klm Autech out at my local import yard and the salesperson proceeded to tell me it was one of only 3 Autech Stagea's in Australia. They also told me it was fitted with all the 'racing gear' and that their father was a racecar driver and had taken it for a drive...his words when he stepped out of the car were "it would be impossible to roll it"...lol...Another sales pitch was that "its been to our mechanic and had the turbo's fixed up"...what a sales person!

I had my old CF-18 sitting open on the passenger side of the bonnet of my work truck....i noticed it as i was driving along. what was my first reaction? yes i hit the brakes! it flew off and cartwheeled up the road. it gave me a couple of years service without a hitch after this 'incident' until it was traded for my new one.

forget the afm's bakes and put a Vi-PEC plug-in ecu in it. Keep the stock afm's in place just unplug them. You could even have dual maps...one for afm mapping on lower boost and one for higher boost to read the map sensor. was asking around at Autosalon for you but you were unavailable...sweet car mate

Hey dont get all upset ya thin skinned fu(kers...im a boy racer too the only thing i used to display was coolant temp....displaying knock was something that never worried me as my car was well tuned and i used sealed drum fuel when racing and any dangerous knock is shown by the 'check engine' light. i think for the price of the hand controller a peak hold temp gauge would have been better as my h/c was more used during tuning than anything else. Anthony you must admit a lot of guys want the hand controller fixed to their dash to impress people...and wouldn't have a clue how to properly use it (ive come across plenty of these guys)

you can get a Racepak item for around $1600 or the Aim for Around the 2K mark...leaning now towards Racepak as they are working in with Vi-PEC and they are a straight plug in.

STOP PRESS: we are currently looking into developing a simple dash style interface similar to the Power FC Commander unit. Should satisfy all the boy racers out there...will have all engine parameters (hopefully including knock level) complete with warning lights and shift lights. Stay tuned!!

Our front end set-up was Noltec uppers Tein casters HKS shocks and springs Whiteline adjustable bar Luke said we got the front end almost spot on with our settings/geometry but he also said the rear end was squirmy under brakes and a bit soft and rolly mid corner. Under power it was good though and we realised we still had the rear coilovers set-up for drag racing...lol...no wonder it got the power down well. Ahh well... life's a lesson. We have some Quantum coilover's from the UK for the car now so they should have the rear end under better control. Im lovin' this corner stuff...so much to get your teeth into.
