  1. the dyno they were refering to earlier was a Mainline at Autosalon...this phenomenon of higher readings in RWD does not work on a dynolog dyno...fullstop end of story. Dyno dynamics dyno's yes will read higher if the proper ramp rate is not used (a trick ive employed to win Dyno Dynamics dyno comps in the past by torque splitting minimal front drive) Ill now shut up as ive got no idea what im on about as im extreemely inexperienced and know nothing.
  2. your theory is correct....in theory. in the real world this is how it works...500kw transfered through a component will produce a certain ammount of heat and this is the power loss. 350kw transfered through the same component will produce less heat and therefore less losses. So transfering 500kw through two diffs one seeing 150kw and the other 350kw will disperse heat and losses in the same way as 500kw through one item. Forget the theory's though....ive done it on several dyno's in different cities and its a very minimal difference between 2WD and 4WD....end of story!
  3. You are wrong....we have proved this theory on more than one occasion in front of hundreds of people at Autosalon. The difference in a 500AWKW car.....2KW.
  4. We can get them...what profile are you after?
  5. still no help as yet...here's the pdf...note the 1st page is copied twice scan0001.pdf
  6. much rather watching a mill than watching a heart rate monitor. The port job is top-notch and an absolute bargain considering its $500 more normally for that level of work. I knew you would like it, photo's barely do it justice.
  7. was out for only a few hours before i was in the machine shop getting another engine ready for assembly.
  8. couple more highly polished combustion chambers another of valves installed in freshly milled head deck block oiled down after clean...ready for lots of good bits to be installed!
  9. upside down inlet port...ported around the right way...a lot of time patience and detail as you can see exhaust side....its more of a stage 2.5 job than a stage 3 exhaust again looking onto the valve
  10. pistons and rods freshly balanced awaiting assembly block with new welsh plugs, grouted, bored and strainer plate honed just about to have a wash and scrub fully reco'd head...more on it to come...
  11. Back at home and feeling much better now. thanks
  12. This is the very reason owning a fast car in NSW sucks ass. love to smash out a couple of low 9 sec passes...but we are not permitted to race at such an event. Car has all safety gear and has current ANDRA tech inspection.
  13. shorter more correct answer...no
  14. another done to death thread ibtl
  15. thanks mate...yes i was taking my good heath a little for granted a going far to hard for too long. This scare has reminded me that being alive to care for my family and car is far more important than hard living.
  16. 4 inch...800hp...no problem
  17. Yes Steve my penis reduction operation did go well....and no you cant have what was removed. On a serious note due to the fact i was only born with 1 kidney my ability to filter unwanted toxins out of my system is a little diminished. This leaves me very exposed to what bugs are going around and generally (due to a lower immune system) floors me a little harder than most. When admitted i was so dehydrated i couldnt focus, my speech was impaired and balance and movement was also shot. I know, i know....it sounds like me most friday nights...lol....But i must admit it was a little bit too close to total kidney failure. This all came about from having 5 days of vomiting dia. and uncontrollable fever and being to pig headed not to visit a doctor...could have killed me if id waited any longer. Thanks to Stace for being so worried about me and coming home from work early and dragging me off to the emergency ward at the hospital. Any body who isnt a registered organ donor on their licence needs to chat to their loved ones about it and make it happen. Id even like to suggest that as a club we do a mass sign up and get the media involved as it may just prompt other car clubs to do the same. It also may change some perceptions of how skyline owners are viewed in the media, by the public in general and by the police.
  18. Been very ill...just got out of intensive care ward today. Now in general ward with a few luxuries like my own room with ensuite, balcony, foxtel and internet (who says the public health system is in a mess...not i) will be back on deck soon fellow forumers and customers. Paul
  19. not correct...i log in with my account which quotes aussie dollars and they are $653.30 AUD shipped and $720.88 AUD air freighted...not $800-$850 AUD as you have quoted
  20. available brand new here for $650 delivered...so $500 is a fair price if they are immaculate. http://www.rhdjapan.com/home/products/prod...Set-BNR32-22943
  21. He does a fair bit of work with LS1's as well. Our 9 sec. drag car is now under the Godzilla Motorsport banner as a second workshop race car for him. Our decision to switch camps and go with Mark was not one that we made lightly as we have invested over $100K in our car. His additude, expertise and quality of work is second to none in this country and his overall persona is a breath of fresh air in an industry thats not reknowned for it. I just wish he was down here in NSW as the QLD'ers don't seem to part with the $$ as much as the Sydney customers and im sure Mark would be making twice the money and getting double the exposure if his workshop was in Sydney.
  22. Our two cars (drag and circuit) will be on the Ignition DVD stand. Will be the first public run on the dyno with the new 1100hp turbo set-up.
