  1. this event is circuit based...no.1 grid position is for 1st one payed up and so forth until all positions are filled.
  2. Dan...well done mate. you have just gone up a notch in my book. You are now at notch 1 (joke) sometimes the information you recieve from suppliers is not always correct or is their slanted version of the truth as i tried to point out in the P.E. thread. My reputation has been comprimised in the past for similar mis-information by a product supplier so i know exactly how you feel. I raise my cold glass to you.
  3. fitted one of these....2nd launch smashed my oil pump.
  4. cars that go round corners are slow and boring...s/s
  5. Croydon Racing always perform this check and do the engine oil and plugs as well...they price this into their tuning fee. When people used to tell me they were expensive i used to laugh...you get what you pay for. $200 extra for what is in reality a full service on their vehicle before dynoing is peanuts in my opinion. If i was running a tuning shop id be doing it.
  6. the Vi-PEC has 4MB of in-built logging...the display dash will do fine.
  7. It all depends on the efficiency of the engine/set-up...the more efficient the engine the less the gain as it burns the fuel better and consequently transfer's its energy into power better. For example my old set-up (the example you gave) used to see over 50-60awkw gain (best back to back run we did was 70awkw)...now its only about 20-30awkw. A stock or near stock set-up may see 85-95awkw gain (Ash's car is a perfect example of ths). hope these real world example's are of help.
  8. i get a good discount on these...let me know if anyone has won the lottery and wants one priced up. genuine enquiries only please
  9. All factory RB26 rods are the same except the Nismo GT500 items. So the rods are RB26 items...same as everyone elses...good upgrade part for RB25's though
  10. I tried to warn the forum about this guy about a year ago...only to cop a warning from mods. He's entered at Superlap...maybe front him there...although last year he also entered and was a no-show.
  11. yes...some of the finest exhaust work ive ever set eyes upon too.
  12. I get it all the time with engine builds...they want this part and that part in there...and when i find out they are chasing 350kw i try and tell them to spend their money elsewhere. But at the end of the day you cannot convince them so i just let them go and spend spend spend. Aftermarket rods in a GTR is a perfect example as most of the chinese offerings would in my opinion be on par if not worse than prepped stockers. GTR stock rods simply don't bend or break because they are weak...its always something else that makes them go. sorry to be off topic.
  13. Thats OK Dan you didn't in any way whatsoever offend me. I don't know why you even thought that you misleading people to get your point across would offend me. At least your arguement style is consistent...im used to it now. From all reports mate you do good work...don't spoil it by being a name dropping know it all on the net, it doesn't go over well for your personality or your business. its nice to be nice.
  14. water welsh plug in the rear of the head.
  15. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Di...er-t252571.html Ive copped 2 warnings over a similar situation 1. was about having a crack at (insert username) running a group buy selling crap suspension from his OWN business on here. 2. and the other was venting at (insert username) after he ripped a friend off with a crappy engine and gearbox build that cost him over $40K. is this not the same thing ? i suggest 1 of 2 things...let this stuff be allowed and remove the warnings...or...delete the thread and dish out some more warnings to the people involved. end rant. Its nice to be nice
  16. no probs... i guess anyone who is silly enough to jump in the cage with the lions cannot whinge when they get mauled. i hear it so may times..'I got defected'..."when and where"?...'Newy foreshore on saturday night'..."sucks to be you then"...lol if your car isn't legal...dont play russian roulette with the coppers...simple.
  17. what size cams are in it? do you have adjustable cams gears? have the centres been tightened?
  18. you called him a karnt
  19. im glad my electrical trade certificate does not have the word 'auto' written on it. im safe..lol Kat whats it doing ? or should i say...not doing ?
  20. we have ditched using the HKS coilovers off "twoogle' and will hopefully have new front upper arms (JP ). We have some British made Quantum coilovers for the car but will still use the Tein caster rods and JIC and Nismo rear suspension arms off my car. The breathing issues will be sorted with Mines rocker cover baffles and two catch tanks (a JJR style one above the rockers and a Performance Metalcraft item where the battery normally lives). Ill also run a breather line off the rear turbo drain to further 'vent' the bottom end as it is now blocked off due to the single turbo set-up. It should see more than 3 laps this time (touching wood as i type) . If Luke doesn't go to F1 he's confident the car will see 1.15's...if Dave drives a PB would be the target time.
  21. it will be nice and responsive with the 0.81...if you want less response and more top end i think the 0.96 would suit. Dave's 2.6 doesn't seem to want to make any more than 450awkw with the .81 no matter what i do to the tune or fuel type. Ive put it down to the rear housing being unable to flow the air mass...you having the extra 200cc and a better head will find it even tougher to 'move' the air through it...hence the idea of the larger rear. Being a RWD though the 0.81 might be easier on the tyres, driveline and might be easier for you to keep it pointing in the direction you actually want to go.
