  1. Here's one i very quickly found...the UK guys have a few threads also. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/My...WER+FC+MISSFIRE Got another 'Racepacer' involved...lol Yes Ash is always right...but also is a good guy and lots of fun to toy with...hehe. s/s
  2. the gtr ones please...cheers guys...cannot wait to see the results.
  3. no knife here Noel, i can handle myself quite well without resorting to that sort of sh1t. When your set-up was independantly inspected by a 3rd party it was noted that only 1 locating dowel was fitted to your flywheel and that was not of correct construction to have enough shear loading. The other dowel holes had dust and dirt in them which was photographed by macro camera as clear evidence that nothing had been fitted to those particular holes. The clutch bolts themselves do not have enough shear load rating to stop the clutch from 'exiting' after it became out of balance due to the lack of loacting dowels and the one fitted which was not the made of the correct material for the job. Jim Berry would have liked a claim made against him so all this evidence could be submitted...but you decided not to even claim against him which he didn't mind you doing as he pays his insurance to deal with people such as yourself. OK
  4. Dragged another post out of you Ash...lol...you make it so easy. Its like shelling peas!
  5. its this one this is an older one without the R34 black rims, Garage Saurus lower bar lip, Gannador mirrors and the Bodyform graphic striping. thanks
  6. ill pick it up monday if thats ok
  7. Ash my Power FC was tuned by one of Australia's best GTR tuner's...the bloody thing would cough and carry on...after a burnout wouldn't return to idle and would often stall the car (AFM's are the shiz eh ?) having to roll the foot over to keep the thing running so i could get into stage before the 20sec rule came into play. You say 'oh thats a race car though?...the same thing happens to light tuned Power FC GTR's on the street after a bit of a thrashing and then hitting the anchors pulling it up at the lights...mine did and so have many others ive driven or been a passenger in. The return to idle on a Power FC is piss poor. What about the choof choof choofing when larger low-mounts are used etc....another short coming of the AFM equipped Power FC. I was sick of that sh1t...so ive upgraded...nothing fancy add-on stuff there...i just needed my car to run right without the well documented hiccups the Power FC has. Yes a desktop computer that was designed and built in the 90's will surf the net, send emails, type word documents etc...but the latest technology does it so much better, smoother, faster and more reliably. Its the same with all technology...why is your beloved Power FC any different? We certainly have strung you along nicely for someone who cbf'd having an arguement in post 4...lol
  8. do you have a copy of HPI no.92 or ignition DVD no.29 or Ignition DVD GTR Special ? the car is on the cover of all these 3 publications...my home computer will all my images shat itself during last week so i cannot access to them. can anybody help out ?
  9. yes all 2nd hand rods should be at the very minimum closed and honed after new bolts are fitted to ensure big ends are perfectly round and haven't distorted from previous service or the bolt removal and fitting process.
  10. and then use ARP moly lube on the threads and torque to the recommended tension
  11. If you are such an expert in clutch cover plates then why did you even fit the clutch to Noel's car that you now amazingly regard as a timebomb?...potentially placing his personal safety and the integrity of his car at risk. Ever heard the song "Monday's experts" http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=7cAvDgqKYbQ ...its about people who are the know it all after something occurs...it takes actual talent to predict these things beforehand. With you now being the all knowing all seeing master of clutches is cold comfort after you fitted what you now think is such a dangerous product. My 'correctly fitted' Jim Berry clutch copped more treatment than Noel was ever going to throw at his and its still happily spinning around in Razor$sharp's car to this day. Along with all the other clutches he builds for Dean Herridge, Jim Richard's, Dick Johnson, the late great Possum Bourne and countless other big hitters in the motorsport world.
  12. im keen...need to add a 2nd set of injectors though...and maybe another fuel pump.
  13. Vi-pec is soon to have a dash style interface that will make the handcontroller look like a children's toy. Display any engine parameter you like, programmable warning lights, peak hold, shift lights etc. If Power FC is good for you and your tuner then thats the best choice for you. I just like to stir Ash a little.
  14. Point proven yet? The above statement was not correct...shall i highlight some more? we didn't even need to drag you into it kicking and screaming. You were a more than willing participant id say. You are right though, if you want a basic ecu that runs the engine (and has its little gremlins) buy a power fc. If you want the best item that similar $$ can buy, you buy a Vi-PEC. You mentioned above that the Power FC can't be too bad...no one is saying its bad...i wouldn't have used one for all the years i had if it was. There's an old saying i love and it goes a little something like this... "If you want to find out how bad something is, ask someone who doesn't have one and/or knows nothing about it" Seems to fit well right here.
  15. Ash...can't back you up on this one mate....you have no experience tuning a Vi-PEC...its so disgustingly easy and fast even you could do it. Hey its not as fast as you are with the ladies...but what is? Super Tuner Mark Jacobsen at Godzilla said he never thought a plug in ECU could better the Power FC...he now admits that he was wrong. Over to you Guilt-Toy...smash him.
  16. yep...i used to think the power fc was the be all and end all....now it looks old, slow and featureless. Vi-PEC FTW all the features and processing power of a MoTeC M800 at a 1/5 of the price installed.
  17. Yes...Im amazed that all the allegations that are made toward Jim and his product and cannot understand why no claim has been made against him or his business. I suggest there is more to this than what people on here are willing to admit and/or accept. Im choosing my words carefully as to not comprimise any further action that may be taken.
  18. it also says this nonsense... The stronger block from the R33 N1 GT-R was used on all R34 GT-Rs.
  19. $400 ... due to the ever decreasing dollar this is 1/2 replacement cost 1000klm old comes in original box pm please
  20. I believe knock control is available with the new firmware update available from the Vi-PEC website. Boost control and anti-lag are STD features.
  21. i like to hang out with the Aussie Female 11 sec. GTR club...they are great!
