  1. We were pretty much on our own the whole time...no doctors or crap like that...it was really good that way. The mid-wife just opened the door every now and then to check if we were doing ok.
  2. Yes, our 2rismo has scored the top job for zoom magazine. The publication is undergoing a re-vamp with a name change and some staff recruitment which includes Adrian to head up the new team. well done mate...BTW...ive got a few Red R Racing machines you might be interested in.
  3. did the officer issue you with a Racepace business card and instruct you to see Ben to get it fixed....i believe this is now official procedure.
  4. obviously less than $600...he thinks its tuned...but it knocks...have you read his thread? here tis.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Kn...Ex-t252854.html
  5. did you not take any notice of what i posted in your wanted thread ?....even went as far as digging up the tutorial for you. have a read and it will answer your question..its in the 1st post if you want to go back and actually look.... mods please close.
  6. 1 crew here
  7. This is precisely what ive told him. great post Gary.
  8. the std gts-t timing map in a power fc is a timing timebomb. way too much ignition advance, and the further down the load cells you go the worse it gets, as putting more boost in it makes it access the load cells further down in the map. Do a run with the map tracer on each boost setting and you will see what i mean. dont kid yourself...just because the afr's are ok does not mean its a safe tune...afr's are only half the battle. as a quick test go into the ignition/injector correction screen and pull 5 deg out of it (very simple to do) put it on 18psi and see what happens...ill bet its ok as far as knock goes. Caution though as this correction only lasts while the ignition remains on, when car is off this value goes back to 0. can you copy up the afm settings...i.e. voltage and percentages...ive got a feeling i know who 'tuned' this one.
  9. Run a Vi-PEC far superior than both the ECU's you mentioned....see Guilt-Toy's thread about his...he used to be a Power FC man through and through...now he has a Vi-PEC he will never go back to an old technology Apexi unit. They are just as good as a MoTeC without the massive pricetag.
  10. a hot tip...its unnatural for a woman to give birth laying down on a bed...get a gym mat on the floor and kneel on it supporting your upper body with a chair...Stace made it look easy as when the water broke Elsie was out in 17 minutes. Let gravity do some of the work for you.
  11. risking your reputation when people bring cars to you not up to scratch is an unfortunate part of the tuning game. When something goes wrong with their car thats totally unrelated to the tune and blames you for it. see this thread as an example... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu...wn-t253002.html i understand why your ceasing to help people.
  12. thats correct....they wont be required...but mark will check the pressure on start-up to see if they are needed. ive already addressed this with him and he said with the clearances ive used the pump should be ok out of the box.
  13. hey thanks Andrew...i see you even have the 'top secret' rear diffuser on there...nice.
  14. nah hasn't tuned any of my cars...he's a more than competant tuner...actually better than some of the $800-$1000 tuners at the big flashy workshops. Ive told him on more than 1 occasion to double his price for his tuning...because he's worth it. Ive assisted him on a few cars and yes he's quite good.
  15. The tune is still ok...isn't it the turbo that lunched itself ?. Im with you rev210...why is it that as soon as something goes wrong with their car they immediately look for someone else to pin it on. These turbo's are designed and installed to run at 7psi...yes running it at almost double the boost that it was designed/installed for will stress it...sometimes, believe it or not, they fail...yes fail. I suggest you upgrade your turbo to something more suited to your application
  16. id have no dramas with him tuning my car.
  17. you do not solder the "filaments to the probe" as you put it....the dry joints you solder are located under the square cover.
  18. STD GTR injectors and resistor pack is what you want. here's how its done http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gt...jectors+in+rb20
  19. yeah the 3D scans are amazing.
  20. there are a few people going to single from multi's...see if you can swap over the head flange with them...i have a balance tube off my car if you need it.
  21. still no love
  22. same everytime Stace and i come down there we always go out till the small hours in the city....much safer in our opinion than Sydney.
  23. im out....flat out all day yesterday getting NYTSKY's engine finished and loaded up...then spent all afternoon with my fabricator getting new turbo to intercooler pipe tig welded for the racecar. time with family today...have a good day guys...the weather is awesome.
