  1. Someone swap me an LFA for my 34 and I'll tell you what the build quality is like...
  2. I have, none of them tickle my fancy enough.
  3. Can't exactly run that exhaust config on a street car lol
  4. I had a Celica back in the day, I'm not anti FWD or hatch/liftback, I just don't see something like that as being a special weekend toy for a guy in his 30s. You're talking about using it as a cheap daily, which makes much more sense.
  5. God Damn Loch Ness Monster..
  6. Why, you've got a 32 and america can buy those now so you'll make bulk coin from that. Or you can buy mine, sell it to you cheap...
  7. I don't need luck, I got it in while the getting was good
  8. I've spoken with the Chef at length as I was going to import one at one stage, I bought just before the big price jump as I'd been watching the market closely. Clearances at auctions are one thing (as there's demand from other countries, like Canada who are now hotly importing thenm), but local private sales are quite another as we have "stock" on hand.
  9. I always find that to be an interesting chat. People are asking more for them, sure, but are they really selling for those asking prices? I only know of 2 that sold, both fairly tidy, both sold in the 60s, one with basic bolt ons, the other with a fairly decent list of mods, including a rebuild. Neither of them was getting 70-80, though if you looked at the more highly modified one versus whats on carsales, he should have been asking 75 easy apparently.
  10. I wouldn't buy a brand new car due to depreciation. Lol warps. Sure, for a track car, but I'm too old to have a hot hatch as my special weekender. I feel the same way about the Evo. Awesome platform but feels like a younger man's ride.
  11. Exactly how I feel about my 34.
  12. Only wagons listed on carsales, would prefer 2 door. This has been a good exercise though, nothing ticks all the boxes so maybe the answer is sit and wait til I can afford the next tier of cars that do interest me.
  13. Nevermind, found that I can use both according to Amayama http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/bnr34/3956-rb26dett/engine/276/27650/
  14. Are there images associated with the part numbers?
  15. Does fast list anything regarding the differences? I assume the 9902 means Feb 99? which makes finding a second hand one even less likely if they are genuinely different.
  16. BNR34-002374
  17. Since this thread actually got some traction, I'll ask here. . - I know sound is subjective and also hard to really rate via youtube clips and the like, but is it just me or does the 35 sound really underwhelming even with an exhaust? - For those of you with a MY11 onwards, what sort of gearbox issues are you seeing, if any? - For people with at least an exhaust, intakes, tune etc, what sort of power are you seeing and how does that fair against similarly powered earlier model GT-Rs - does the gearbox really make up for the extra kerb weight?
  18. Looked at those, that's R35 money again. Nothing grabs me. I might just put a newer/nicer clutch and some cams and springs in the 34 and leave it at that and see if the market keeps appreciating or starts falling off while I wait to see what happens with the 35 market.
  19. R34 GT-R AC Condenser As per the title. Need a condenser after damaging mine.
  20. Can you please give me the part number? Looks like min can't be repaired and they are hard to find second hand.
  21. Well if I did this, my aim would be to dial in the gears to try and not push it so far to the right, I can deal with peak not increasing much if response can be improved/area under the graph in total increased.
  22. Josh reckons it will not only make that power, but do it on less boost because it will flow more efficiently, that's gotta be a good thing.
  23. Have still been chatting to Kelford about cams, Josh said he would recommend springs at this boost. Something else crossed my mind. If I did put these cams in, and he's right about there being 10-12% gain, that would put me around/maybe over 500rwhp. It's a stock bottom end, how much can they take?
  24. I dunno, I asked a few Qs in the 35 section and got crickets. Have they all moved to FB?
