  1. You're not convincing me one way or the other, there's far too many conflicting opinions and dyno sheets for there to be a clear answer to this. Every engine/turbo/cam choice/dyno read out combo seems to say slightly different things - As per the above example (which is the opposite result of many of the other examples we've also seen).
  2. That matches up more so with what Camtech and Kelford told me. Both said that I could maintain/improve response, mid range and top end by using one of their cams - both were in the 260-264 duration range and increased lift over stock. Yet everyone here says more duration = worse response.
  3. A few questions for you 35 owners. - I know sound is subjective and also hard to really rate via youtube clips and the like, but is it just me or does the 35 sound really underwhelming even with an exhaust? - For those of you with a MY11 onwards, what sort of gearbox issues are you seeing, if any? - For people with at least an exhaust, intakes, tune etc, what sort of power are you seeing and how does that fair against similarly powered earlier model GT-Rs - does the gearbox really make up for the extra kerb weight? - For anyone who's had a 34 and a 35, what are the pros and cons of each in your eyes.
  4. Exhaust isn't actually 3" mid as thought. List updated with new parts/things removed that have sold. Removed due to upgrade/replacement. Haven't fully separated/cleaned things up yet. Can take more pics as needed. R34/RB26 - Greddy air diversion panel - $100 - Stock manifold shields - $10 - 2.75" mid pipe with flanged stock Nissan cat and basic mid muffler into 3.5" rear pipe/muffler section with cannon. Can only see a Jasma label on it - SR. Came of 34, but will fit 33 with minimal mods - $200 - R34 Standard fuel pump. $40 - Standard Cam Gears. $10 - R34 Non Vspec air guides for brakes. $200 - R34 GTT Console ilid skin, mint condition. Hinge and leg no good though. $80 - R34 GTR Intercooler, with IAT bung - $120 S13 - Free/6pack/whatever - S13 CA18 Viscous Centre and 6 bolt shafts and diff cover. - Carpet - Roof lining, - Interior light - CA18 Cam Gears - CA18 Intake Cam - CA18 AFM and plug. - a TPS - Washer fluid bottle and neck - Standard space saver. - CA18 carbon canister - Rear toe arms - Rear camber arms - Traction rods I can assist with fairly cheap postage or pickup is fine. Or take a bulk lot for cheap. Located in Wodonga.
  5. I don't think we need reminding that the Evo is a better track car Speaking of, where do you find Evo track cars for sale. I want to swap my Silvia plus cash for one lol
  6. I can't recall off the top of my head but I think it was something like 2 deg advanced on the intake and 4 deg retard on the exhaust.
  7. Greddy air diversion panel now available. $100 delivered.
  8. We've chatted, in the end I think I might try and fiddle with the cam adjustment more and leave it as is given the total cost to fit and tune vs expected gains.
  9. not a problem for me then lol
  10. Ahh I see. If it can be used in the Evo it's expensive. Same a GTT and GTR.
  11. Really? I thought Mitsubishi was cheap? Or is it Evo tax?
  12. Because torque specs are for top bloke's and rattle guns make you a real man. Edit:Apparently sau does not like colloquial terms for men who love men.... Top blokes indeed lol
  13. HPI make a front pipe that matches, I have it on my car to go with the big HPI dumps.
  14. R34 here, E85 with standard lines everywhere 354rwkw. Just a basic in tank pump and some fatter injectors.
  15. Twice as many wasps as me. They don't sound like a good fit for you if they only matched the response.
  16. At what power/boost are we talking?
  17. Admittedly from a guy who sells Cams, but interesting response. ************ He recommended their 260 cam - http://www.camtechcams.com.au/niss_6cyl_rb26.html "Hi Dan, The cams to use is our 413a. see cam specs below." ********* Which I thought was too big based on what we've discussed here and asked him what he thought. ********* " Hi Malcolm, I've been told that's too much duration and will cost me response, potentially down low and mid range torque also due to overlap dropping dynamic compression. Thoughts? ********* He doesn't agree.... ********* "Hi Dan, I think unfortunately the people that are giving you advise may be a little inexperienced. The cam I suggested is the next size bigger than standard. If you put anything smaller than want I have recommended you are wasting your time." ********* Which is odd given I asked him specifically about the 250 degree Type R.
  18. Says the Emo driver, GTFO of here
  19. I'm waiting on camtech to get back to me. Does anyone know what the max lift is you can go before requiring buckets? I was wondering if they could make me a 248 or 250 duration with a bit more lift, if possible. If no more lift can be achieved, then maybe just a 248 with the same lift. I'm inclined to wanna test cams, as I got a good result with the Sil, but I alos came to the realisation I've had the car for almost a year, spent over 20k on it and barely driven it. So Cams might get shelved for a while given the nicer weather is here and I should actually drive the thing and enjoy it. I still need to get the rims resprayed, and maybe get the calipers re-done, but again I should drive it for a bit.
  20. XKLABA, you can't receive PMs for some reason?
  21. Cool, nothing special then. I want to try and freshen up my plenum. Degreaser and Carby Cleaner seem to be the top suggestions so I'll have a go and see what happens.
  22. Forgot to add, lots of people use apexi pods but I've got massive K&Ns if that matters.
  23. Yes it had already been removed and I was running an apexi panel filter. Nothing else was changed, literally just bolted on pods. I have since changed to AFM deletes and KTS hard suction pipes but that was more for aesthetics.
