I don't think you have pushed the car hard enough yet to enjoy it. I know in my 32 with 265 z221 hankooks its grips like mad through the hills but if you push hard enough it will still step out. That was with 332kw with -5 dinosaurs. Owned and driven a few fast cars but the GTR keeps me happy. Don't get me wrong evo's are great but it's not the same driving one.

Mate you own a 34, buy a set of head studs and get it back on the dyno. Removing the front shaft isn't that hard and cost of the extra dyno time will be worth it. It's really stuff all cost compared to what you payed for the car and what a rebuild is worth....

My motors out and changed my mind, jumping on the single band wagon -5 Turbos $1500 used 5k kms old Trust Titanium cat back exhaust $1200 paid $1800 Midori Seibi stainless Dumps $700 ($1000 new) Midori Seibi Ti front pipes $1200 ($1600 new ) The turbos have hardly been used, were on my car for just under 5000kms. Made 330kw @21 psi Trust cat back is near new also, has a scratch on the mid muffler. I think you will find that is an average price these days for a good condition motor. Every man and dog wants the rb30 bottom ends now. I remember when you could pick them up for $50-100. Not very often now.

Sounds pretty expensive to me. If I was you I would call a few import yards and try source a second hand door and a rear quarter yourself. This will take time so they will charge you for that. I think the quote should be closer to 6k
