  1. 5th over all i believe, qualified 5th also! but damn... car looking sorry now lol
  2. .... And the Verdict is .... its siiiiiik! So so so so so so so much tyre smoke Post pics up soon
  3. Mick The Map is not mine to sell, Mate of mine does the tuning for a reasonable price either way See my sig for details for The Speed Lab As for the ECU, it is plug in and the car will probably start and idle but it wont be driveable thats for sure (rb20 has smaller injectors) so your best bet would be to leave the 33 ecu in there and drive to the tuner. Or get the 32 ecu epromed, buy chip from TSL and plug it in and drive it, Would be best to get it on a dyno to check everything before you really drive it hard tho. As for price, ECU cost me 50 and the mapping/dyno time averages around 300-400 including chip install
  4. yes it is, SAFC will get you there, but you wont get as much gains as a full remap. Sure mine doesnt make heaps of power... but the midrange torque is crazy... and the lag is non existant. This is all without the vct too
  5. judging by what ytou have told us so far, i wouldnt be believing a single thing that the owner has told you
  6. willing to sell me 6 of them trent pm me if so
  7. Have a read of my thread. HERE 213 rwkw @ 13 psi with stock turbo. mods are -FMIC -3 inch exhaust -RB20 ecu remapped -AVCR Thats it
  8. sounds backyard for sure. rip the whole motor out, put a 20 in it and sell the car and all the parts, then buy something that hasnt been farked over quite as bad
  9. damn straight!!! im hoping for a good result as the car is performing very well now, Loads of torque, loads of grip, good tyres and wheel alignment... all thats left is the driver needs to make it happen hahaha
  10. dunno about quick.. E30 318i's weigh a shit load!! plus its auto.. would be a bit of a dog i reckon Looks nice tho, why is it posted up here?
  11. Yup, i love this stuff! Its awesome, makes noisy diff's quiet, is good for the lsd and best of all its cheap. being a 140W it can coap with anything you throw at it. Ive been using this oil for about 3-4 years now in various LSDs (from new also) and not had a single drama. What converted me was when i first got my TRD lsd for my ae86 i ran the diff in with some castrol mineral oil then put some expensive TRD oil in there and the diff was so noisy and it didnt even feel like the diff was operating like it should, So i drained it and tried the Penrite and the diff was silent from then on and felt so much better!
  12. You may need to pull the peddle box out and check to see it hasnt broken any spot welds on it, could be possible that the box is now flexing when you put your foot on the clutch and not acctually pushing the clutch in far enough. Other issue may be master or slave, i know you said you replaced them but were the replacements brand new? If not then whats to say there isnt a problem there. Finally, in the middle section between the master and slave theres the box with lines going in and out of it and a bleed nipple..piss this section off all together and just run a line from the master to the slave, then bleed starting from the master followed by the slave.
  13. speak to Jeff at Turbotune for a better idea how to get bang for your buck
  14. you gotta be joking? they could be had for free from most wreakers! or $5 at the most. I rather spend $20 on bourbon lolol
  15. yes your nickname says it all as for the highflow i sold it with my rb20 package to fund the 25 conversion, I was going to get another one from Slide but it looks like he doesnt make them anymore.. for now stock will do, might look at garret offerings down the track.
  16. Yeah the ecu will do everything the same, speed cut and rev limits can be changed, ecu still has cold start and knock retarding etc.
  17. haha yes they do, Jeff (the speed lab) does most of his tuning/remapping there now
  18. you could, but you'd need to run a series 1 igniter externally wired.
  19. for sure, the RB25 rocks, and why bother running a PFC or forking out for other stuff when you can just simply run a remapped Rb20 ecu
  20. Were you giving it stick at the time of coming out the car park? Generally speaking motors just dont die and lose compression like that unless they have detonated (cracked ring lands, bottom end bearing and various other things could be damaged) or your oil pump has died causing bearings to run dry and spin. If the motor is stuffed, i'd look into replacing it with an Rb25 (minus the box) and take it from there, you can get them for around 2200 with ecu and loom + all bolt ons.
  21. hahahaha yeah go on showza... enter autosalon
  22. Prob been a while since youve been there but they now have the most accurate dyno in Adelaide. If i wanted a high reading i'd go to tilbrooks and wow people with 240 rwkw's from the same set up
  23. Yeah it gets drifted, ive kept it under 1 bar which is to keep it safe, Should be safe at just under 13psi i would say.
