  1. the conversion is a straightforward bolt up job, however you will need to pay for a new tailshaft to be made,a to have them sort out the speedo issues, for a mechanic it should be around 3 hours all up on a hoist, assuming you have all the parts available beforehand. so 500 or so all up?
  2. problem solved! put silastic over the crack and cleaned all the packs out where the spring goes in, now revs and pulls cleanly! thanks guys
  3. well one of my packs had a hairline crack in it that i missed in the first inspection prior to putting motor in... so i put a layer of silastic over it, hope that does the trick!
  4. thanks for that mate, i'll pull the coils back out and try wrapping them. Its sure annoying!
  5. the ones recommended by sydneykid and many others, the 0.8 mm gapped coppers. forget the number tho lol
  6. yeah ive searched, im well aware of the various problems of missfirings and their solutions. however read on. I just got my 25 package running in my 32, still running stock turbo and ecu, all it has is cooler, exhaust and a boost controller atm. Boost is set at 0.7 bar max. Now the car drives fine down low, and pulls quite clean and smooth until about 5000 rpm at WOT. above this it hesitates like a misfire would some times it even starts to clean up before getting worse around 6500ish. the motor has new plugs, have inspected coil packs and all of them have their spings (no carbon ectrodes like RB20 plugs tho?) all are clean and not cracked in anyway. not sure what else it could be?? any ideas? Cheers Simon
  7. tail shaft i made my self using the front half of an R33 tailshaft and the front half of the R32 tailshaft, i cut the center bearing section off the r32 bit and then mated it up with the R33 shaft, got the engineering shop next to my work to make me a sleve to sit inside both halfs of the shaft which was a tight yet perfect fit, then i tig welded the two together. from the centre of the uni joint to the center of the center bearing the shaft needs to be 355mm long. as for Crossmeber i reused my R32 one, and modifed it, so i have 3 out of 4 bolts holding it in place. Speedo im yet to figure out
  8. news flash: just got the 25 running and driveable. Ended up making tailshaft myself at the engineering workshop next door. works a treat. couple of large issues have popped up tho... my radiator leaks, and the brand new clutch doesnt seem to grip. also my AVCR i just got doesnt work lol.
  9. Got a 25 box in a 32, also running the 25 motor, I want to hook the 25 speed signal from the box up to the ECU so that the ecu gets correct readings, also so i can use my AVCR to give a read out. Now theres two wires on the 25 sender, im guessing one is for power and the other is a pulsed output signal.. Can anyone shed some light on this as to which one is which and how i go about hooking it up?
  10. oi, shut up shit head! you can talk, you wanna put a new turbo n shit on your car
  11. anythings possible, quite a few people have done coil conversion using leads, however it doesnt make it better then the stock nissan coilpack over plug arrangement, all your doing is adding an extra thing to go wrong (leads). that said. if its cheap it could work out for you. and yes, discard common earth and run the power and switched neg and your all set, should work just fine with the ignitor
  12. cut the wire for the light on the hicas computer or take the globe out the dash
  13. the push rod that connects to the peddle itself can be adjusted, but to a limited amount, you need to ensure that the peddle isnt forcing on the master when your foot is off it.
  14. maybe your only going by what you had before? if the clutch operates fine and does not slip, then i cant see a prob with it

  16. why not hey stretching tyres makes them MORE predictable, not less, then having wider tyres on there, simply because there is next to no sidewall flex. Fitting wide was tyres or narrow rims gives you the V8 bogan look of Bags on the rears... not too bad for drags but horrible for corners and sliding.
  17. R31 radiator will NOT fit into a 32... i tried and its far too tall. Ive got an RB25 rad in there now and i still had to do some mods to make the bonnet shut!
  18. haha true that... turns out the 26 i was looking at getting was f**ked anyway... i couldnt be arsed rebuilding something so i went and bought an RB25 package
  19. www.japanesemotorsport.com yeah replacements would be good haha... umm you know anyone who can fibreglass well? take a mould of yours and go from there... could sell em off for a fair bit too!
  20. This is where i put mine... I just did a motor transplant in mine and installed the AVCR yesterday when i did all the wiring in one hit, so as you can see its a real bloody mess lolol
