  1. oh, yeah i can imagine it would be! Get a set of cheap coppers and gap them down to .5 or so mm, chuck them in and run high boost and see if it goes away, if it does, then you've got a prob somewhere in the ignition system. might be an ignitor perhaps?
  2. get it on a dyno and find out where and when it is happening, Also how old are the plugs?
  3. what size is the cam mate? the VCT is only on from 1500 to 3500 or thereabouts, so really it only helps off the line, once you play with timing and boost you really cant tell the difference!
  4. plenty of neo's have been converted. Wiring is just the same but with a few small differences.
  5. forget about retaining the loom, its a fair wack of work just to do it. Just run the 25 loom with a 20 ecu and you'll be laughing. No VCT here either, its off and not really needed. Cant say ive noticed any lack of low down. My rb20 with slide highflow was making 225 rwkw on 16-17 psi with stock injector / afm /remap then i swapped in the 25 which now makes 10 kws less, with stock turbo and had an insane amond of midrange torque compared to the rb20.. Overall im pretty happy with it.
  6. just under 13psi acctually. look at the dyno sheet.
  7. Mods are cooler and exhaust, its in an R32 and everything on the motor is stock... except for the RB20 remapped ecu thats running it. Dyno run with the 33 ecu was a hell of a lot less. As we all know the stocker hits R&R with raised boost. Now ive got loads of midrange torque and driveability is sweet as. For the bucks.. its a sweet upgrade for those 33 owners looking for some more poke... chuck those 33 ecu's in the bin.
  8. Sorry guys i forgot to close this thread. Ive since got a cable so its all good now
  9. Made sweet power with a remapped RB20 ecu! not bad for stock turbo either!
  10. i'll be driving also... look out for Team Kiosk lolol
  11. I just helped salad rebuild both his master and slave today, then did a full bleed and ran just about an entire bottle through it. Seems to be ok now but during the hour of driving it the engangement point went from just before half way to just above halfway... so im not sure if it has solved the issue or not.
  12. thats gonna be a bitch to keep clean looks porn tho!
  13. I used to run one on my RB20 cefiro... and they are laggy until you get the ECU side of things sorted out and remapped. But yeah, dont expect much power below 4000 rpm
  14. 25 box and smooth driving style... aint gonna break! i'll give it a go.. will be fun
  15. hehe thanks might give it a go and let it be known how it goes
  16. they are D2/G4's or whatever... so no, they dont
  17. yeah use the steering lock to help when undoing them too I did mine with my motor out, a million times easier lol
  18. yeah they would have gone a bit hard, however they would heat right back up with some sliding in no time lol
  19. rear strut barce will do SFA What you need is upgraded sway bars! Sway bars control roll, not the shocks and springs .
  20. who said anything about buying lol ive got a couple of pairs of slicks off Jim Richards porsche thats done a few laps. still got life in them. Yeah i know bolger uses wets, bit of a different story tho
  21. As the question states, has anyone ever tried drifting on a full slick? for shits n giggles mainly? just curious as to how they cope with it, do the tyres overheat and go slippery, or are they really quite grippy? Cheers
  22. thats all well and good but it doesnt help the situation, if the rebuilder made a mistake they should be liable to refund the money or fix it... thats how it works!
  23. yes the stagea comes 4wd with the 25, but it is auto only.. Anything is possible but at comes down to how much money its going to cost!
