  1. Even HKS 2530s I have seen for S15s have the HKS embossed compressor cover... Do they use a T3 flange? Why would a different flange (and therefore different exhaust housing) have any bearing on what compressor cover they use? I have never seen an HKS turbo with an aluminum insert like that before. That looks like a second hand turbo... What proof is there that that's an HKS 2530 and not a modified/high flowed turbo with an HKS exhaust housing? Or an HKS 2530 that got loose, spun out the compressor housing which was then rebuilt with a machined out Garrett compressor housing? If that's a second hand turbo, and not an HKS 2530 you have bought from HKS, I don't think that's a very good authority on what is and what isn't an HKS turbo If it *IS* a new HKS 2530, then I don't know what to say because that aluminum insert is something I have NEVER EVER seen from HKS before in my life, and not pictured in ANY HKS goodsmasters, Option mags or HyperREVs and I certainly have never seen one in real life (not that I've seen thousands myself)
  2. I'll have my stock one for sale in about 2 weeks time due to an upgrade... If you're interested, drop me an email: [email protected]
  3. Actually, I think you might have to take it to court, and get a judge to rule on the issue for the precedence to be any use for other people...
  4. Ben, please keep us informed as to how you go with getting that defect thrown out. You may just set a famous legal precedence for all modified car owners.
  5. There really was no need for that last comment, all you manged to do is make yourself look like a dickhead. Anyway.... So you want proof? You really want proof that you got ripped off and your "very reliable contact" sold you an incomplete HKS turbo or worse, a Garrett turbo with HKS exhaust housing? How about this... I scanned in a page of my HKS Goodsmaster. Firstly, the page: And a zoom of the turbo pictured: Notice the big and unmistakable "HKS" cast onto the compressor housing? Notice the caption that labels it a GT2540? HKS GT2540s don't come with HKS wastegate actuators. You have to buy them seperately, so I scanned in that page too: It is possible to use your standard actuators with the HKS turbo, but not very commonly done. So.... Is that proof enough for you? Now what's this about the bullshit level of posts on here??? Perhaps what YOU think is bullshit, is actually correct, and the bullshit lies solely with you.
  6. spot reserved for ownage... I'm eating, will post my reply in a few mins
  7. Hmmm... A major point of my post, which seems to have been missed , was that we should be doing things to encourage people to join SAU NSW Club and not just post on the forums and attend our trackdays/skidpan days. Hence why I suggested a discount for Club members, and full upfront payment for non Club members. Just a step to entice people to join the club. Thoughts? Comments?
  8. Awwwww... Come on mate... It's only a short drive to my place
  9. They're not dangerous at all, and in fact high boosting engines should always have a catch can to remove oil blowby from the engine. Usually you would only get about 30ml of oil blowby a YEAR on a healthy engine, unless your engine was built shoddily to inexact tolerances around the piston area, like it sounds to be the case with geoff's engine. To fill an 800ml catch can in two track sessions is , and something is definitely not right with his engine (as he knows). Hope that helps, catch cans are NOT dangerous
  10. Sounds like it could be a slipping clutch to me?
  11. Nope, not at all... It would be piss easy. But I don't know how to weld, I don't have the welder, and it's a thousand times easier to pay someone to do it instead of learning how to weld and buying a welder
  12. BD4s actually make a metal bracket that moves the front plate UP and AWAY from the bumper. This has the effect of moving it UP, so it doesn't block the intercooler (GTR or front mounted GTS), and AWAY so you don't have to bend/cut the number plate. I wish I had known they sold these before I bent my brande new plates
  13. I have a GReddy DUAL A-Pillar Mount for R33 GTS-t/GTR, brand new if you're interested.

Please don't post queries about street racing on the Skylines Australia forums. SAU does not participate, nor does it condone street racing. Take it to the track where it belongs.
  15. You test the brakes by jumping straight into a 190km/h stop???? Next time you test the brakes AROUND A CORNER at 140km/h???? Do you realise that you should do all your braking in a straight line and avoid braking whilst turning unless you absolutely have to (or are trail braking for a reason)???? What the hell are you testing them around a corner for??? at 140km/h??? Somehow, I don't think the problem is with the brakes...
  16. Errr... A fuel pump upgrade isn't a bolt-on upgrade guys... You need to retune the car to suit, so you'll need a PowerFC or S-AFC before you do this. And Joel, I'd suggest an ECU upgrade before you delve into head work and RB30s

  18. Jesus. Is your Enter key broken?
  19. The thing about PowerFCs is, they're a straight plug and play, meaning it's a 5 minute ECU replacement. Being a piece of electronics, and such an easy installation, second hand versions are pretty much always 100% working, and as good as new. So perhaps try and pick one up second hand? Another option is to buy one from Japan for a bit cheaper than that
  20. hehehehe No worries mate, I'll just come for a sticky-beak then
  21. Basically, it sounds like a misfire, which could be caused by any of the things listed in the above replies... Good luck
  22. The -7/+7 gauge is in 100 mmHg. That is, millimetres of mercury. Yes, I'm serious, and no, it's not commonly used, even in Japan, so I don't know why Nissan chose to use it. the "+7" -is in units of 100mm Hg (mercury), so the +7 = 700mm Hg, which is equivalent to 13.5psi.
  23. Because I've been out in the sun all day working on my car and I've got sunstroke... Don't mind me
  24. And what does your wife think about having to share your love with a hunk of metal?
