  1. Yup, but you never mentioned what lift these cams had... We're not psychics With 11mm lift, there is a 110% chance of you having to have to machine the head RB26DETT heads can accomodate upto 9.7mm lift without machining, and the RB20 and RB25 slightly less I believe. Although I have been to Wakefield many, many times, I have only taken this car to Wakefield once, and it was raining, and I had Dunlop Semi Slicks on the car... Suffice to say that it was a useless outing. I should be going to Wakefield again soon though... I have been to EC once, and I was running wastegate pressure (0.7 bar - 202rwkw) because it was hot, and the car was pinging... I managed a 1:57 if I remember correctly, but I went out in the last session after learning the lines from Paul (OzGTR97), and felt much much faster, but unfortunately my lap timer had turned itself off... DUH! So basically, I don't have any times from either track! But I did a 51.30 around Oran Park South Circuit... That's basically the only proper time I have so far... Need to get my arse out to the other tracks and see what I can do...
  2. whether or not the head needs machining is a function on how high lift the cams have, not the duration.
  3. Coilovers will kill your drag racing career. They are too stiff and won't let the car squat and launch. Mine just axle tramps off the line when I try and launch it (Drummond Motor Sport coilovers), but that's doesnt' bother me too much, as I'm a 95% track, 5% drags kind of guy. Best suspension for drags is your standard springs and shocks, combined with a subframe and diff bushes (pineapples as people like to call them). A good compromise for soft ride, ability to squat and launch, as well as good upgraded handling for everyday driving is the full whiteline package. They are EXCELLENT value. http://www.whiteline.com.au
  4. This is the nicest AE86 I have ever seen, and I saw a *LOT* in Japan, so that's not a meaningless statement. I can't believe you're selling it?!?!

  8. That's very interesting! I didn't know that OS, Ogura and ATS made you convert to a pull setup... I wonder what the reasoning behind that... I know that NISMO clutches retain the stock setup, and they sell single, twin and triple plate PUSH clutches for the R33 GTR... Oh well, live and learn... I just thought I'd bring it up in case you made a mistake when typing up the post, but you obviously haven't! Cheers, Andrew.
  9. Godfather: ... Do I get free entry into all your strip clubs too? Mafia always has a few strip clubs as fronts for other dodgy goingson I guess you're next in line if Donnie doesn't want it... Donnie: Please give me a call on 0418881113, email me at andrewho at viriumgroup dot com, or reply to my PM so I know what's going on.
  10. Those rims are bloody horny, but they certainly aren't that exclusive. Have a close look at Angelo's car the next time you go for a cruise... If I remember correctly, the spokes flare out slightly at the edge of the rim, and aren't parallel like the Dronells on that beautiful R32 GTR in question. 600hp eh? Should be good for high 10s-low 11s? Awesome
  11. Where did you hear that? They're Dronell rims, and aren't that expensive. Tempe Tyres, Ozzy Tyres, etc, can all get them, and the rims on the white R33 GTR (GTR51K) aren't the same. Very similar, but not the same. I have seen these Dronell rims on many European cars (BMWs mainly), and they certainly aren't the only set in Australia.
  12. Ummm... SOLD.......... I guess

  19. You guys scare me sometimes
  20. Thanks Dino! I came back to Sydney to find the NSW forums dead, and realised why when I spoke to one of the guys and I found out about the TW forums! Sorry to open up a can of worms!
  21. Could another possibility be to make it a locked forum? So people can see it but not access it? That way new members can find out about it? Just throwing ideas around now.
  22. Okay, no worries... makes sense... Looks like I missed out a lot during my trip!!
  23. How is that supposed to happen when people don't know about the hidden forum? In any case, lemme in
  24.     I don't have access to it. I was told about it by a mate.
  25. Just one question, and I apologise if I missed this whilst I was in Japan, but I don't understand the reasoning behind making it hidden in the first place? If people complained about TW thread overtaking the NSW forums (ROFL!), and a seperate forum was made to accomodate them, why make it hidden? Personally I think TW is part of NSW, and shouldn't be segregated like it is now. I enjoyed reading the funny TW threads.
