  1. What the... I have R33 GTR rims with semi slicks I use for track work, and they fit perfectly. I have NEVER heard of any offset problems with fitting R33 GTR rims to an R33 GTS-t. R34 GTR rims however will NOT fit, because they are 18x10" rims and are just way too wide for the front guards.
  2. NGK-R PFR6G - 11 That is NGK's part number code (as you know)... This is how you interpret it: NGK - Manufacturer PFR - Platinum Spark Plug 6G - Heat Range 6 11 - 1.1mm Gap.
  3. Pretty much everything in this thread is correct... Glad to see the performance-oriented guys helping each other out on this forum :uh-huh: benm: 192rwkw from a stock turbo is excellent! well done, time for a turbo upgrade to bump yourself into the 200s!
  4. I use NGK Platinum 8s, gapped at 0.8mm.
  5. We took more photos than I care to imagine... It will take me a good week to go through them all I'll post some good ones in due time...
  6. Hmmm.... Lots of comments from people who haven't experienced a good quality short shifter in here I think... Lets just say that once you've driven around with a good quality short shifter (C's, Mines, NISMO), you will *NEVER* want to drive a car with a standard throw again. It feels sloppy, inaccurate and slow as hell. Yes, if you rip gears from one to the next as fast as possible all the time and generally give your gearbox a hard time, a short shifter will increase wear on your synchros. Of course it will, your throw is a LOT shorter, and you can crunch the gears if you rip the gearstick with all your strength... If you drive around like that all the time, you probably deserve to be faced with a gearbox rebuild anyway ... But you can learn to shift as fast as possible without beating the synchros. You will learn how fast you can shift that is optimum for your gearbox, so you don't crunch your gears, and you will then be extracting the very best your gearbox can give you on those 1/4 mile passes... That's not the best thing about short shift kits anyway. It's for the 95% of the time you're driving on the road and shifting leisurely... It feels so much tighter and direct, it makes the car a pleasure to drive and shifting much nicer...
  7. Yeah, I just got home this morning, I spent the last two weeks in Japan for Tokyo Autosalon and got to visit a few workshops like Top Secret and stuff... I wasn't overly impressed by the workshop visits, but the calibre of cars at TAS has ruined me... You can take any random car from TAS and it would be a showstopper at one of our Autosalons I think the main difference would be the internal diameter differences (and hence volume), and end fitting sizing... Unless you're shooting for 800-900hp, pretty much any off the shelf Jap fuel rail will do... It's an easy mod anyway... Get the stock RB26 one, and if it doesn't have enough volume and you get fuel surging, then upgrade it...
  8. I use a Trust Fuel Rail meant for an RB26, so I guess the injector spacing is the same...
  9. These two turbines are about 10-12 metres tall
  10. :werd: x eleventy billion.
  11. You're a legend Cam! There you go peoples! A guaranteed formula to more power than you can poke a stick at! P.S. That's a very impressive looking turbo!
  12. Can we please have a little red dot on threads that we have posted in? It makes it lot easier to keep track of interesting threads! Cheers, Andrew.
  13. Every single word in this post is complete and utter rubbish. That's right. EVERY. SINGLE. WORD.
  14. Yup... and you have bragging rights to say you have a 12 second car
  15. This is true. There is no better bang for your buck than a Nitrous installation. $1500 and you're ready to roll, with upto 100hp @ wheels extra power... Amazing stuff. The reason I said it should be one of your last modifications is because the standard R33 GTS-t (the car in question), is actually quite a slow beast. I would much rather increase the power of the car to a stage where I would be happy with the car's performance that I could use everyday (maybe 250rwkw?), and *THEN* look to measures to drop those 1/4 mile times. But hey, if 1/4 mile times are more important than how much useable power you have on the street is, then for sure, hand over $1500 and you'll have a monster
  16. What JUN box? Merli: There is no JUN box. ed: There is no JUN box. Merli: JUN is good. ed: JUN is good. :bahaha:
  17. That banner up top with the R34 GTR (Canman's?) is the nicest I've seen out of all the forums I frequent (and that's a LOT) Good work guys!
  18. Well I don't think that's the right attitude I think you should be driving straight to your favourite workshop and asking them what your next mod should be, so you can kick that guy's ass the next time you see him (at Eastern Creek of course) :uh-huh: No-one takes kindly to losing, but calling him a wanker and accusing him of running NOS when you have no idea what modifications he's done to his car is a little over the top IMHO. As others have said, the "sleeper" look is very popular these days with guys who don't want all that extra Police attention... I guess you're just one more he can chalk up to his ":Owned: List"
  19. I agree with ed. NOS should be a last resort/last modification. It is designed primarily for drag racing on the strip (in automotive circles), not on the road. There is a $10,000 fine for using it on the road. That said, I had a Nitrous'ed Proton Satria GTi, which got the occasional squirt on the roads (but 90% of it's use was on the track)... I have just purchased a 100hp NOS Wet Kit for my R33 GTS-t, but my car is heavily modified and this NOS kit will just be used on the drag strip. I'll take photos of it in a minute
  20. Saying "T3/T4 Turbo" is about as useful as saying "big cams" There is no such thing as a standard T3/T4 Turbo, like there is a standard HKS GT2835R. A T3/T4 is a term made up to describe a turbo with a "T3 sized exhaust housing and a T4 sized compressor housing"... It is something the turbocharger specialist/builder such as XTR, GCG (just two examples), etc puts together for the customer's needs. One T3/T4 will differ from the next one in terms of compressor and exhaust wheel trims, compressor and exhaust A/R ratios, and what kind of bearings are in the center pack.
  21. HAHAHAHAHAHAA... You got your ass handed to you on a plate, and you claim he's got NOS and he's a wanker? Crikey. You don't take losing too well do you?
  22. Get your lazy arse out of bed earlier and come upto Homebush so you can cruise down to the Gong with us! The 5 minute drive from your place to North Beach is so lame :uh-huh: Come for a REAL cruise.
