  1. no matter how much you polish a turd, it'll still look like shit. but, nissan australia will pick it over the skyline as per usual, so I'm sure we'll see lots of shiny turd on the roads soon.
  2. got one att he workshop in melb, call roshan on 0425855540 and ask about the N/A r32.
  3. i'll give it a couple of weeks and if no more interest then i'll just go ahead n order it. might cost a couple bucks more cos the postage cost will be shared by fewer people.
  4. all compliance workshops can be randomly inspected by DOTARS, so if they're in the middle of complying a car, and its sitting there with aftermarket bits and their supplied paperwork indicates that it is stock, then they'll have their license revoked or heavily fined. probably not in their best interest to run the risk and not do the work but charge the customer for it.
  5. why'd your bumper fall off? the models don't look that heavy.
  6. what sides n rearare those? vertex?
  7. the company that wants to showcase the fact that Skylines are awesome family passenger cars, and have been thru history? that's their primary market after all. they just happen to have sporty ball tearing 2 door variants.
  8. fuck this I'm bored as. gonna go for a drive up to sunshine and then go to a mate's in Mill Park (Jen's FYI niroj)... maybe we can do a mini half duck meet tomorrow or monday?
  9. its a members only forum... so dunno if i can link it so you can see. I'll see if I can copy/paste.
  10. didn't I give you a warning about not spamming WTB threads with that sort of response? are you daft?
  11. as long as there's no structural rust etc you should be fine.
  12. there was a site which one of j-spec's customers ran, dedicated to oldschool jap cars, but i forgot the URL try japanesenostalgiccar.com for info. as for compliance, not much has to be done, just a roadworthy and an engineer's inspection. if its pre 1978 it doesn't haev to be RHD, if its pre 1983 (i think, not sure) it doesn't have to meet some EPA requirements, and if its a lil older it doesn't have to meet any. Not sure on the year the rules kick in though. can check if you want. Adz, send craig (J-Spec Imports) a PM on sau, he'll respond eventually.

  14. i got a magic stick in the ceffy, its a non t-piece style auto shifter with the overdrive button. bought it in japan... was like $30 bucks. Haven't seen anything even remotely similar available locally, at least not with the overdrive button and gear release buttons. There's also the Navan shift knob which is pretty popular with 300ZX drivers. I had one of those and sold it for $150 a couple of years ago. Again with the gear release and overdrive buttons.
  15. GTR backseat thanks. bottom and back pieces.
  16. Sasha Anis of SG Motorsport in canada did an amazing buildup of his S14 and documented his underbody aero fabrication on a forum... here's some pics to give you some ideas: Mockup: Fabbing: Painted: On the track: Early damage: Unfortunately the car was written off on the track and eventually parted out (think Sasha's still running a 350GT in the production class racing)... but goddamn... what a car. Should give you fellas some ideas. It was made using honeycomb aluminium sandwiched between aluminium sheets, to reduce weight and maximise strength and rigidity.
  17. paid 4 times that for the carbon fibre cloth version from japan... goddammit.
  18. got an unregisterable S14. Car is complete minus windscreen wipers, and drives and runs fine. Chassis is straight and undamaged, some panels are scuffed and have some scratches. stock standard SR20DET, auto, chassis has been painted candy pink, but bonnet, doors, boot etc are all maroon. Car is in melbourne, and can organise delivery to your driveway as early as this weekend. Asking 6K, and open to offers, but obviously nothing stupid, the car's worth more than that in parts, but I just don't have the time for it as I work in Brissy. I'll be in melbourne on the long weekend so you can come check it out, offer me cash and you can have it on the day. PM me for contact details if interested. Car needs a VIV to be registered... so if you can put in the effort you might be able to put it back on the road, not sure, was gonna make it a track car, so never followed up on it.
  19. or pay to be a sponsor before you find yourself banned for spamming
  20. its for better weight distribution. we were thinking of putting a VQ35DET engine into the 180sx ute for the same reason... the engine sits further back and the weight is between the wheelbase, which makes it very close to a 50-50 weight distribution.
  21. OMFG!!! Check out the price on petrol
  22. we've got a road rego'd 180sx ute at the workshop just keep on payin the rego n hope you never get pulled over
  23. it doesn't give you THAT much more clearance over standard... maybe a couple of cm?
  24. Dear Motorsport also made an S13 ute too... oh and of course the SR20DET powered Nissan Homy Drift Van
