  1. So I figured I'd make some sort of photo diary of the work being done to my car at Driftline down in Campbellfield, VIC. Having hit a runaway gate at DECA (thanks for securing the gate with a watering hose... real intelligent) a year n a bit ago, the car's been looking a little sorry and often referred to as the ghetto R32. but no more... with a fresh lick of satin black, full kit, flared fenders and some other bits, it should come out looking mint. So first the raw materials: Take 1 beaten up R32 Add: 1 bonnet 2 pumped D-Max front fenders from Empire Aero 2 pumped rear fender flares from Viva Garage 1 Type J Front Bumper from Viva Garage 2 vertex sideskirts and rear bumper from Viva Garage 1 open grille, 2 GTR grill clips, and 1 V-Spec bonnet lip from Laurence (gojira/dr1ft.jp) a set of Work VS-XX in 17" by custom offsets to fill out the fenders for flush fitment Wheels have been taken apart atm to have custom outer bands machined and have the centres powdercoated black to match the car. Update (from a while back):
  2. haha i met you in syd a couple of times you arse. although I was checking out your epic cleavage so you must be real.
  3. you're fake too?
  4. that's great... as long as you don't have a GTR GTR indicators are single piece moulded plastic, and they're different in shape and fitment to GTS/GTSt ones which you can mod the way you've described.
  5. yes they will... just take off the tabs for the grille.
  6. can't believe you bought a mushroom style foam filter. scientifically proven to have the worst filtration known to mankind... and an old one at that. the foam on that filter is meant to be replaced once every year or so.
  7. my car's being resprayed satin black at Driftline atm. full bodykit + 30mm flared guards all around. Will be posting up a build thread soon with each step from priming to painting.
  8. ok here's how it breaks down: the N1 model was a GTR that was sold predominantly for use by shops to make race cars. so it came with no air con or heavier projector type headlights etc. so you have: S1 R32 - Povo Pack headlights (what you've got) These came standard on all R32's (GTR and non GTR) in the first series S1 R32 - Projector headlights These were factory optional upgrades S2 R32 - Povo Pack headlights (same as S1) These came on GTS, GTSt, GTS4, GTE and GXi models standard S2 R32 - Projector headlights (similar to S1's but the plastic moulding around the projector are slightly different) These were equipped on Type M's, Type G's, Type S's etc and all GTR's, and available as factory optional upgrades. ALL GTR's had a grill and not an extended bonnet lip, so they needed some way to hold these grilles in. Therefore they made allowances on BOTH pov pack and projector headlights for metal clips to hold the grilles in. N1 GTR's, being equipped with stock pov pack headlights (which were usually turfed and replaced with a fibreglass or CF panel or duct of some sort) had these clips on them. Therefore N1 GTR headlights are actually pov pack headlights with GTR clips. So I hope that clears up the confusion. Anything else you may come by is custom made, be it by Nismo or any other company.
  9. this thread delivers... late.
  10. looks like those LS1 engine covers in red nice!
  11. lol if my beaten up sack of shit had rivetted on guards, it'd look natural... cos it'd continue the "ghetto" theme. but if a nice clean straight car had rivets all over it, and wasn't blended in... unless it was a track car everyone would just think you're a massive poser.
  12. probably clocked him on a downhill stretch with wind assistance only way a rexy can go that fast </stir>
  13. its not that big sigs slow the site down... its more that HUGE sigs take up valuable realestate on the screen and can detract from the general browsing experience. you don't want a couple of lines of useful info on a forum and half a page of flashing images. and I figured out how to make it work in IE too, just haven't had time to edit the CSS file for the site. I will soon. so your full sig days in ie are numbered
  14. some mailservers have so many bounces that its hard to get an immediate notification... others have quarantine periods while they're being scanned by AV software. think its on your ISP's end kaz... try changing your default email addy to a hotmail or gmail account and see if you find the same thing?
  15. think the OP's talking about rivetted on flared guard skins, not torana flares. unless its a track car (or a track pig) it looks ghey with aids really. also its kinda pissweak if you do it on anything under a 30mm flared fender.
  16. i think more than your personal info, I don't think Dodo would appreciate their internal processes and systems you were involved with being put into the public domain. either way... good luck fellas... I found the job I was lookin for... but in Brissy
  17. oh... happy muffday
  18. what's crackin?
  19. keep potting HKS26 (midnight purple R33 GTR) drive past me at 8:30ish every morning while I wait for my bus in Chapel Hill.
  20. atm the hot free CMS is Joomla... people are migrating from mambo to it. integrating joomla shouldn't be an issue, its what I do at work with our own in house CMS software.
  21. yeah apparently my bodykit parts arrived yesterday... so they'll start painting it soon
  22. -famous +notorious
  23. don't act like you don't like it.
  24. not atm, can get some down if you want. actually i might have an older non GTR one still... can't remember any more. I'll let you know in May? lol
