aren't the URAS ones for coupes only though?
if you really wanted to you could possibly adapt a 1989 corolla front bar from carmate or somewhere to fit the R31, they're kinda similarly shaped...
the blow up was a chunk to show the amount of colour noise that's in the photos. Usually when you blow up a picture there's blurring or antialiasing, but no colour noise like that. the point I'm trying to make is that the colour noise is quite visible with no zoom applied. Of course I'd take a pic of the grille closer up if that's what I wanted a pic of.
Yeah for 75 ISO on a nice bright outdoor setting that's way too much noise... I'm suspicious that the sensors panel's got something wrong with it.
I turned off the internal noise reduction settings to capture a raw image at full quality and then wanted to do the noise reduction by hand to try and retain as much detail... might try turning it on and see if that's any better. I really wanted to do some macro shots, and that much noise can ruin those kind of shots. Night shots are a nightmare also with all that noise.
they're still processing December approvals atm last I heard. there's only 3 or 4 people who deal with the approval forms... can get a lil overwhelming.
I wasn't aware that Punchbowl NSW was around the corner from Frankston VIC
your heart may be in the right place, but your methods leave us all doubting. what's th point of anonymity over such a trivial discussion.
you two wanna get a room?
lol at the shop we use black automotive silicone (the stuff that holds your windows in and seals your tail lights. they're resistant to high heat and non reactive to water and other daily use chemicals that your car might get covered in (waxes, polishes, detergents etc). They usually come in a sausage to put into a dispenser.
I'd say Gary Rogers Nissan in Glen Waverley and Brighton Nissan would be the best suited to carry the GTR in Melbourne, they've always been the most cluey about Nissan sports cars.
also keep in mind that trade plates can be used on compliance test vehicles for testing and evaluation purposes. on road tests are part of this procedure, so seeing a car on the road with a trade plate isn't a big issue. good luck to whoever at DOTARS that seems to think that they can pin a trade plate holder based on random snapshots of the car on the road.
PM? oh... oh yeah... replied
Yeah it does look like a write off, although if you were to replace the front section of the rail, the inner guard and the rail it might be ok... big job though. I'd say your insurance company would just write it off.
Most GTR bits will most definitely fit. I have an R32 GTS4 too.
You'll find the rad support, guards and front bar are different, as is the engine (obviously) and supporting bits... but the hubs, suspension, rails, rad support etc are shared.
the only reason you'd need to tune, strengthen, replace or fix any part on a car is if it doesn't meet the requirements to start with. I'd say there's a lot of parts on the R35 that shouldn't need replacing... not as frequently as the GTR's getrag anyways.
all you need is an adjustable spanner or a monkey wrench to steer in the absence of a steering wheel. They're also great for smashing in windows to get to said steeringwheel-less car.
If they really want your car, they'll find a way to take it.
our server has a spaz everyday at 2am EST when it gets reindexed. haven't seemed to have many issues outside of that time, other than with DNS servers falling over at my ISP.
