  1. PS2's actually run at 12V DC internally. So what you'd be doing is taking a 12V DC (average, it does vary) supply, using an inverter to convert it to AC, then converting it back to 12V DC. pretty silly if you ask me... and very inefficient. Its pretty easy to build a voltage stabiliser out of mobile phone chargers that plug into cigarette lighter sockets. gives you a nice clean 12V DC supply, which you can then wire into the PS2, bypassing the internal converter. Total cost would be about $20 max plus some soldering time. Or if you have a slimline PS2, you can buy car power supply packs for em premade.
  2. I can't see an Ascari A10 in the subzero section
  3. full body vinyls have been around for a decade now, advertisers use it quite often. lol nice scheme... stop calling it a full body vinyl, call it foilacar and rake in the $$$.
  4. wow that bonnet is a pretty nice design. do you know where the previous owner got it (I'm assuming they put it on) or what model it is if you don't mind me asking? car's hawt. good buy.
  5. I think not. closed.
  6. its decided then, leave your mod badge and ban stick on the table on your way out.
  7. hehe hopefully monty finishes up on chris' car before saturday. he's been workin flat out to get it ready.
  8. This computer can control all the existing functions of the car. Its processor is very powerful, and well suited. The Impul High Power Control Unit will bring out the full potential of your car without any problems. That's what I got out of the blurb in the middle.
  9. aww date number two lol top read. can't wait for the vids.
  10. because the end kw's is not indicative of the power delivery in a car, it depends on the tune, the fuel in the car and other factors. maybe one had a better torque curve than the other even though it had a lower end kW readout... maybe the one that gave a higher reading had a 100% maxxed out duty cycle wheras the other was at a safe level? could be any number of things.
  11. call the number I gave you
  12. pretty sure it was 10cm2... will double check.
  13. not all standard ones are embossed. some have the letters as stick on badges... mostly sedans, but seen some coupes as well.
  14. sorry to dig up the thread... but a mate of mine just directed me to the TiAL Alpha Q Pumbback BOV. It seems to be the beesknees of all plumb backs. they also sell it without the v band flange so you can run it inline. from left to right, "the bong", TiAL's new atmo BOV and the current TiAL atmo BOV
  15. yeah but you guys don't have as many R33 and R34's rolling around in canada as we do. plus anyone in oz who was awake in 1990-1992 knows an R32 from the thrashing it gave the dunnydoors and falcoons.
  16. don't pretend you're heavy boned fatteh
  17. dunno bout a swap, but its for sale. too big and laggy for my needs. I want power on tap. Comes with lowmount manifold (the turbo's got an adapter plate welded on), HKS external wastegate and pipe to suit.
  18. I don't like how they look, at least a strawberry 180 and an S15 have very close body lines. R32's and R34's dont. R34 fronted R32's look like R34's with downs syndrome. The only half decent R34 facelift kit is the Bee*R kit, and that's an 8 piece kit that pretty much replaces every panel except the roof... its not just a straightforward front swap like on the 180sx.
  19. I cop enough shit for the car "whistling unnecessarily" already... he'll think the car's breaking down if it doses. 60yr olds and turbo cars don't mix well.
  20. Roy and I have TD06-25G's... which are a world of difference. cheers fellas... Sorry I meant GReddy, not Garret in the original post. I tried doin a google search and all I could find were people with Evo's discussing them (now it makes sense why). Looking at doing a 2.4L stroker on the RB20 and running twin turbo's (just to be different I guess) ... I know twin TD05H-16G's work with this setup... just wondering if twin GT2530's could as well. looks like they might not be responsive enough in this application.
  21. I've owned a 180SX before, and own an S14 and R32 atm... R32 is roomier on the inside, has better brakes, better suspension geometry and an engine that I'm more familiar with (owned about 4 R32's now). The interior trim is better than an S13 or 180sx. Availability of wheels in 5 stud is much better than in 4 stud. I don't see the point in buying a lower spec car and spending money upgrading it to be level with a higher spec car that costs around the same. The S13 is an entry level sports car in the nissan lineup if you think about it. R32 GTSt's are a step up from that. That said the body styling of a 180SX is kinda timeless... a simple facelift to an S15 front and it looks 10 years newer. An R32 unfortunately still looks like its stuck in the early 90's regardless of facelifts. S13 silvia's look like they're stuck in the 80's regardless of what you do to them. I'd say an R32 GTSt and an S14 is about on par. The choice would be real hard, and I'd probably pick the S14 over the R32.
  22. My mate's folding mountain bike fits in my boot no probs. http://www.slingshotbikes.com/bikes/11 mind you he brought it back with him from the US, so dunno if you could get one locally.
  23. welcome... nice clean car, with some sleeper mods. they look like TBO rear pods. probably came on the car from japan.
  24. Does anyone have any specs for the Garrett TD05H 16G with a 8.0cm2 housing? How's it compare specs wise to an HKS GT2530? For an RB20DET if that helps.
