lol calm down girls, I was telling Pete (Bass Junky) to get a fibreglass copy... nothing to do with Ferah... hope she gets an original, they're a great kit, and with the original underskirt they look porn. Might wanna get some side canards from Origin to finish the Tommy Kaira look though, as the originals have a small canard jsut in front of the rear wheel.

Brand Name Jap Parts Vs Local Aussie Parts
funkymonkey replied to bLaQ.bOi's topic in General Automotive Discussion
half the garbage you get in japan comes out of chinese factories with poor quality standards... i'm not talking about big brands, but stuff sold and rocked by guys on the street in japan... like HICAS lock bars. Contrary to popular opinion most of the drifters (with small budgets) running around in japan don't have Tomei HICAS lock bars, they have the same cheap nasty $90 bar that's on ebay here. Same with some of the "drift style" bodykits coming to Australia as "omg wtf direct import from japan! wow". As long as the quality is good, there's been a fair amound of R&D, and the prices are competitive I don't give a rats arse where it comes from. Just because someone farts in Japan, it dosen't mean it'll smell of roses and lavenders. A shit product is a shit product regardless of where it comes from. That said, there's easier acccess to better quality Japanese products. -

Aeromaster Type 2 Bonnet For R32... Pics Anyone?

well made a mockup quickly using a pic of my car... shits me that I can't find a pic of it on a car... I know it'll be rad and look tough, but there's just that tiny bit of uncertainty that comes from not havin an actual pic. a nice GT style front bar (none of this dorftio lip that looks like bubba shit) with some dense meshing, diffusers underneath and it'll look mean -
http://www.ebridge.com.au/dmdtheimage/body...4tommykaira.htm Hey that front bumper copy's actually pretty good. Pete, you should get th DMD one instead of pissfarting around with an original out of japan.

lol whoops, glossed over the "i'm in IT" bit. hmm that's a bit odd. I've got a couple of other sites hosted with EV1 in a different datacentre (I think), can you do a tracert on www.j-spec.com.au ? just want to see if its across the board for EV1 (thePlanet) servers -
here you go guys used this site to make the pic... so was pretty easy http://googlefont.com/?q=Twoogle&submit=Create+logo%21

looks like the same one I've got, its for an RB25DET/R32 GTR or R32 GTS4 push type clutch. if it is then tis a TS2BD, rebuild kit is about $800, depending on what's worn and needs replacing. here's the official webpage for it, prices are listed: http://www.osgiken.co.jp/pro_clutch/clutch/ts2bd.html I posted a thread about my one, might be worth reading if you're considering it... I absolutely love mine. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=182899

doesn't Shakotan Boogie involve a few 260Z as well?

Should I Get Coilovers?
funkymonkey replied to jet629's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
most regular coppers wouldn't care or be able to tell the difference. if you got done by a TMU officer specially trained to defect modified cars (like in qld and vic) then you'd be in trouble. half the roadworthy places I've been to have no isses with adjustables, the other half require fixed height. so its a bit touch and go. -
Jaycar Boost Controller,Fuel Adjuster,Turbo Timer
funkymonkey replied to funkymonkey's topic in Group Buys
packages have been resent, inspected by auspost staff prior to sealing and stamped. apparently its next day delivery, but from experience express post still takes a full day. Still got a fair few cables, a spare IEBC, and about 6 hand controllers and 5 books. might hold onto the IEBC n see if I can adapt it to play with ATTESA signals instead (shoudl work on the same principle, signal in gives modulated signal out). Although I've got a digital pulse adjuster as well, so might just use that. Hopefully that's the end of this group buy (thank god). I think from now on I'll be doin local group buys instead of national, so people can come pick up their gear. -
just out of curiosity, does anyone have any copies of シャコタン ブギ or Shakotan Boogie?
-
too. much. pink. in. one. thread. my eyes! my eyes! lol
-
that's the remote butterfly valve controller (cable controlled). the one you have comes with the oldschool Apex'i exhaust valve. Pull it out and push it in and listen to the difference in exhaust noise.
-
yes but under that shell lives a very rare Tommy Kaira RB30DE high compression engine
-
farked if I know... its a full distro of it from LOLCAT. they had a previous release which was nuked cos it didn't work, apparently this ISO works. Its been trickling thru at 5kbps for the last week... irc fservs

good luck finding someone with a copy of a TK bodykit, let alone someone that will sell you the original. the TK kit came on numbered special edition R34 25R's. this includes the diffusers, and special edition TK seats. I've tried contacting them directly to see fi they'd sell the complete kit, but they'll only sell the front underskirt... so i dunno where your dad's mates are gonna get the genuine front bar from. If they can get it, grab it... If you want a Tommy Kaira bodykit, buy a Tommy Kaira R34 25R. But you can email [email protected] them directly if you want. Just as a side note... did anyone see the TK R32 M30 that they just sold... *jealous*

Should I Get Coilovers?
funkymonkey replied to jet629's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
here's the QLD brief, based on the ADR's regarding light vehicle ride height. other states have similar restrictions, contact your local road transport authority for more info http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/resources/...difications.pdf pay attention to the bit that says: Anyways, I live in melbourne, and I found this out when the police gave my mate a defect at a EPA/roadworthy blitz station... one of the items on the notice was "adjustable suspension", when we questioned it, we were informed that they were illegal as they allowed the user of the car to manually adjust the height of the car. They were only legal if either the adjustment nut was welded in place, or an approved tamper proof sticker was placed over it by a VASS engineer. -
D Max Door Fender Thingoes For R32
funkymonkey replied to bLaQ.bOi's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
holford motors (get number off whitepages or google em) in melbourne import D-Max fenders, good rates, container shipping though, so you might have to wait for them to get here. They should do the door trims as well. The origin door trims are cheaper though. There's plenty of shops making em now in japan. Dunno why you'd wanna fibreglass door lining though... if its a race car its heavy unnecessary shit (we use a flat carbon fibre sheet with holes cut out for winder and door release)... and if its a passenger car, fibreglass interior is the most uncomfortable and rattly shit you can put inside your car. Dunno bout you but I lean on my door trim a fair bit when I drive... fibreglass tends to crack and warp a bit too easily. -
Aeromaster Type 2 Bonnet For R32... Pics Anyone?
funkymonkey replied to funkymonkey's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
ya, as thrtytwo said... this front lip comes down in front of that lil extrusion on the bar, so there's no interference. the front of the bonnet is just a few cm back from the face of the front bumper, instead of stepping back a couple of inches to the headlight line (just like an R34 GTR)... which is what I want. Its designed to go on an R32 GTS/GTSt and usable with the standard bonnet release lever. If you put it on a GTR you'll have to make a hole in the mesh to access the release. First thing on the to do list when I get it is to remove that line in the middle going back from the drop vent... might need to reinforce the opening from underneath though. I might take a pic of my car in the right position so I can photoshop the bonnet on to see what it looks like.
