  1. I don't think snowy's quite tall enough to see past your waist.
  2. Try asking in the "VINs you want FASTed" thread, use a random R32 GTR VIN like "BNR32 003945" and get em to look up the part number for the headlight bracket. I'd look it up for you, but I just reinstalled XP on my machine and have to install FAST again. Skylines never came with DOT approved headlights. If you want to be cheeky, try getting a DOT approval etched on your headlight (illegal, but meh) back in the day in Australia before the compliance laws got relaxed, the rear quarter windows on some R32's weren't ADR (our version of DOT) approved, so some compliance workshops used to get a fake approval etched onto it, and then put it thru the system just fine. You'll still get caught out on the road because your headlight will glare into oncoming traffic, but at least your inspection will be OK. Failing that I've seen people use S14 and Accord headlights on their R32's in Canada hehehe... looks like arse, but if you want one badly and want to stay legal, thems the breaks. Or be a pioneer and put a 240SX front (pop up, not the JDM tyte silvia one) on your skyline
  3. kuwait is one of the better paying places right now, and its also fairly secure. I'd be goin over to Dubai, which is not far and partyin it up (dubai's the place with the lavish hotels n resorts and hot bishes) when I get days off. kuwait's more progressive than Iran and Iraq, but not as progressive as the UAE. fuggit, gimme the job if you don't take it
  4. we have an original kakimoto and it only runs 13" at the rear and 10" in the front. My BN sports widebody runs 12" at the rear and 10" at the front. I think its 170mm total, so divide that by two per side. Not even JGTC cars are that wide.
  5. Type M front bar... yes. I have ze gold badges too They were a factory option
  6. why don't you make your own? get a piece of carbon fibre cloth (ebay, cheap as), some cardboard, release agent and some resin (bunnings, in the paint section). Or better yet, get one of Bass Junky's aluminium ones and lay your cloth on that to get the right shape. Seriously... $170 plus shipping for a piece of flat carbon fibre? (ok, maybe it has a couple of kinks, but still, not that hard to resin it into shape) failing that take it to a fibreglasser and get them to do it for you
  7. I don't think you can get 2 way front LSD's... I always thought it was only 1 and 1.5
  8. you need the following: size of current wheel (diameter, width): current wheel's offset: distance current wheel sits inside guard: distance bodykit extends guard by from standard body: camber (don't need this if you haven't changed it from factory): if you have 18x8 I'm gonna guess your offset is +34 or +35, if you wanted to extend that another 170mm you'll need a pretty f*kin wide wheel unless you resort to spacers. I've got 14" wide with an offset of -60 using that calculator
  9. *ahem* http://snopes.com/photos/automobiles/barnfind.asp sorry dude.
  10. its up to the officer involved as to what is a power increasing mod as there are none specifically listed.
  11. we don't really allow posting of links to PDF's of service manuals, as JP-NZ the copyright owner of them has asked us not to. what is it specifically you're after that's not in the GTR one? If you must have the pdf, do a google search
  12. I do a lil work at driftline and the only time at when we let people wait is if we're doing a fluid change or something simple, most other things take more time as usually cars don't get started on straight away once they're dropped off, most of the guys will already be working on another car. Usually we invite the owner to come in and be given a quick rundown while the car's being worked on (eg once the gearbox has been pulled off if the car came in for a clutch change)... but no unsupervised visitors inside workshop premises. They're more than welcome to sit in the lounge and watch some Option vids or read some mags (or go thru the VACC guidebook lol). most workshops don't like people hanging around inside their workshop for OHS reasons, so will only let you wait if they have an office. And offices in some workshops are usually a seat a couple of mags and a coffee machine in something the size of your bathroom. Sometimes they don't like you hanging around, as some customers get unnecessarily alarmed over standard procedures.

    R33 Gtr 4door

its actually a 4 door "GT Four" (meaning AWD not 4 doors) with GTR gear swapped in and an East bear front from memory.
  14. that looks like a sticker with a bubble over it... you know like those squishy stickers you get as a kid.
  15. If I was to own that car, I can deal with being inside a hooker very easily.
  16. yeah the quality of the work, and the fact that its built by an R32 owner for their car means that there's a greater chance of it being a better product than some cheap chinese garbage With the shroud, electric fan and the radiator mounted how much clearance do you get from the engine?
  17. funkymonkey

    Meh

    troy... less posting, more drinking.
  18. and more importantly... how much to make another one? don't need polishing etc. Is that designed to be used with an electric fan? Which on are you using?
  19. bought mine for $600, even had a japanese rear axle, disc brakes and japanese headlight conversion (including foglight brackets) already done. Not much rust either, just a couple of spots. Welded the diff and for shits and giggles we strapped a turbo onto the 4AC carby engine and took it to a drift night. No power steering = pussy drifting. Once we blew the engine we found another 4AC, changed engines in about 40 mins and it cost us a beer and $20 for the engine. We went thru 4 engines in that car... finally decided to put a CA18 in it. its doable, just gotta look in the right places... and not get into a price war with fanboys. coincidentally I just sold the same car without an engine or gearbox for $1000. $400 profit about 5 events and 2 years later
  20. shitty old ae86 you pick up for 500 bucks with a welded diff.
  21. noice! thats the same bodykit i'm selling... yellow really hides its curves n wideness tho.
  22. he only shows up on the second one or something right? been ages since I saw it.
  23. lol VicRoads couldn't organise a root in a brothel let alone get their facts straight. actually 32 GTSt's are just a touch under the old PWR, R32 GTS4's are heavier, therefore better than the GTSt's... etc. Unless they've changed the PWR limit they should be fine still.
  24. lmao... thank god for that. I was thinking I might try and get a group buy for Jaycar's new amps goin, but in retrospect, the extra $80 hit for a one off purchase might be worth the headaches
