we were, but knowing every second person has an excuse why they cant make it on each weekend i assumed december would be long enough for people to not organise anything november is fine by me anyway i got a car which ever time we go so its no big deal. -
my old lady actually spotted u kirstie the other day now u mention the nismo sticker, as she said she saw a silver stagea with biggg nismo sticker and p plates in craigie.

nice work Kylie, i was down there watching for most of the day and your stagea looks very nice. i didnt appreciate the commentators (sp?) comment saying that stageas are not very good on the eye compared to skylines. well have to show them a thing or two soon enough

im ready whenever sorry Alan i forgot about u as u havent posted often lately i got a bad memory and i know there is a few others i forgot as well i just cant think of the names. -
the big round sender is for the oil gauge (the one closest to rear of the car) and the little pencil sized sender (closest to front of car) i think u are talking about is for the low oil pressure light, it should have a wire connected to it it wont affect anything except it wont bring the light on if your oil pressure drops (unlikely)

hey Lee no worries im possibly workin tommorow but i might have the day off, depends how i feel in the morning. ill give u a ring if i head up for sure and we can race there haha jk -
i gotta warn u a cheap autech 260 is gonna cost more than buying a decent one. if the motor goes allow around 5k to rebuild it dead stock or around 10k if u want some decent internals and oil pump, etc. dont forget they could have a dead clutch, worn transfer case, and other major issues people never think about. if they are in bad condition on the exterior than u can imagine how they have maintained them with oil changes and the like. go have a search on forced induction section and check out how many rb26s need rebuilds, its rather a big percentage and anything around 100 000km and they are on the way to a rebuild as they are revy engines and owners dont buy a 260rs to cruise around when they can get a rs four for alot less. i personally wouldnt touch a rb26 without a rebuild unless u got the extra cash to do it straight up. dont expect to pump 20psi and 450awhp through a tired one for long either. they wear out bearings with the rpm and piston ring lands crack off in 9 out of 10 cases. the 260rs is alot different to a rs four as mentioned, its got the rb26, gtr 5 speed, front mount intercooler, gtr lsd diff (rear) and thicker gtr axles and uni joints, gtr swaybars, gtr r33 brembo brakes and gtr tire clearances under the guards. dont buy a rs four and think chucking a 26 in is only 10k because it will be more of a headache and as expensive as buying a 260 straight away. these are just my personal opinions but ive done the conversion myself and swapped everything on mine for gtr parts so ive pretty much bought a full gtr in peices and installed everything onto the stagea. i didnt have the option of going 260 when i bought mine 2 years ago as there wasnt any in Oz available. i would definately get a manual but u wont find a manual series 1 unless its been converted and mod the rb25 it will make some serious power and they have less likely to have been flogged by the previous owners. heres some mods that will make some good numbers and not cost the earth garrett gt3040r turbo $2200 (cheaper second hand) exhuast manifold $300 wastegate $500 intercooler and piping $500 power fc $980 bosch 040 fuel pump $220 clutch $600??? injectors $600??? i reckon 370-400awhp is pretty easy obtainable with those mods and reliable for a stock engine. i had trouble with a rear axle snapping as they are tiny but maybe i just had bad luck and they should be fine. i wouldnt stuff around with highflow turbo and shit for 270awhp or whatever they make as u are gonna want more and they are maxed out. the gt3040 will make upto 500hp (on a built engine) from what ive seen on other cars and they are fairly small so lag will be minimal so its always got room to go for more power if u rebuild it ever. i personally hate doing mods that max out straight away as u all know after a month u always crave more power thats just MY 2c worth cheers Brad

sounds good, but as i said im not 100% sure they have bbq's etc in the park but its more than likely they do, i might go for a drive up there on the weekend and double check for ya's i'd bring the stagea if i could but unfortunately not, as it will be atleast another 5-6 weeks away from completion and then i got to book it in for the tune on 18psi once i run it in. -

hey Lee im in as i said ill be unlikely to have the stagea done by then but ill come in the other car anyway Lancelin sounds abit far, but its upto you maybe yanchep or something for a bbq if they have any on the park up there? damn i want my stagea running to bring it along -
haha speculation i love it the 6 months wait is because its still getting the motor built again after i cracked the block (this is the Jun engine) and i am wanting to race it at the drags and use it for a while before i sell it off, ill be keeping the Jun engine and putting in a rebuilt stock rb26 but this is definately 6 months away at least. once i reach my goal with the car it will be sold off but until then i plan on pushing it until it does go quick enough i dont think putting a rollcage in a stagea is a smart move anyway sorry Heath i sort of meant it as a joke as i wouldnt think someone would wait 6 months for it anyway ill be letting people know well before time when its actually being sold i cant estimate a price until i decide what mods ill leave on and what ones ill take off (depending on what car the motor goes into next) cheers Brad

i have lost interest in the stagea recently and my new car is what im focused on at the moment. i read the forums abit and keep upto date but the forums seem very quiet lately and not much info hasnt been talked about to be honest. i wont post about my own stagea due to the few people in WA (not stagea owners) that spread rumours and dribble shit about my car so i would rather them not know at all. im sorry but i feel the nissan engines have been done to death and im thinking of keeping the stagea as it is (modification wise) and spending my money on the new one which is something different. im sure to come on a few stagea cruises and still post online to help others

nice work Ken good luck with it, i dont post much on here anymore, but let me know in a PM if u dont mind when u get a good tune done and when u take it to the strip im going for a lighter chassis in the near future and its more than likely gonna be a full tube chassis car or close to it to see what numbers it can do with a built auto with transbrake and 9' diff. ill enjoy it in the stagea for a little while longer though cheers mate

nice pics Ken hows the motor going these days? any power figures on some high boost?

i got a november 96 series 1 model from autowholesale (in Perth) for $18200 2 years ago exactly when they first got them. it had 120 000km i must admit but km's mean bugger all as i wouldnt beleive alot of these 50 000km ones at all going by the condition. mine was advertised for 21k as well and i bargained them right down. it had 17' rims, brand new tyres, cat back apexi exhuast, apexi lowered springs and apexi blow off valve. it was spotless and ran perfect too. i think they have infact increased prices and i cant understand why?? maybe they realise they are getting popular and people have little other option but to buy from them unless they buy one from over east or japan which is a risk in itself. i wouldnt pay anything over 20k for a series 1 stagea auto personally as they can be imported for under 15k complied from what ive read on the forums and 5k extra is alot of saving if it happens to be a good cond one. remember that photos always make a car look good and they dont generally come in from Japan as clean as the pics make out from the imports ive seen. if u wait for 6 months im sure there will be a certain brand new rebuilt rb26 powered stagea with bilstein/whiteline coilovers, upgraded swaybars, manual conversion, gtr diff/axles and brakes, and about 10k in other mods for a very reasonable price good luck in the search and hope to see u on a stagea cruise in the near future when we organise one

730rwhp Possible With Twins? Rb26
CruiseLiner replied to r33_racer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
pnblight is making those numbers almost (530-540hp from memory) with 2560r turbos and 2.6L bottom end and it aint on 28psi i know that much. and thats on pump fuel too dirt garage's rb26 was on race fuel yes. are u running 28psi with pump fuel??? -
turning the big chain and gear in the transfer case that drives the front shaft wont take much power at all, though its one damn heavy duty setup when u look inside the transfer case. i drove around in 2wd with no front shaft for the whole 1200km without a hitch and damn did it do some crazy donuts and skids oh the memories wont be long until i do it again with alot more power and ill be sure to get a video of it when i do i got pics of the transfer case internals on my other hard drive, ill post them up when i get time to show ya's whats inside the case
