  1. my hks t04z 0.81 is making 407rwkw on 18psi and 437rwkw on 22psi with 11.5 afr's, 300kw is very very low from results i have seen. maybe try another tuner?
  2. from engine running to gtr box out in 1 hour by myself, thats with no hoist and only axle stands and a jack to assist gtr engine running and out in around 4 hours by myself as well done box around 20 times now and engine about 10-12 times i think so gets easier the more u do it lol i know what bolt sizes are on every damn part of the engine and box, its pretty disturbing
  3. yer sounds like i might be ok then, what calipers do u have? gtst or brembos? i got brembos, dba 5000 rotors, stock brembo pads and braided brake lines so maybe just a pad change as i cant see the stock pads being much good for track, though i havent tried them much yet to see.

  6. i went and had a look for a hour or so and looked like great fun, ill more than likely get the stagea out onto the track and see how the heavy thing goes lol. Paul your car sounds great and bobbos gtr is f**kin crazyy what sort of tyres and brake calipers/pads were u using Paul? and did u have any issues with brake fade? i just hope my brakes are up to the task with the 1650kg boat i got, might need to upgrade the pads to something more track friendly
  7. hey those t clamps are overrated, i have the cheap supercheap shit skinny ones on mine and never blew a pipe yet with 22psi and 585rwhp. if u got the lips on the ends of the pipes then it cant blow off, simple
  8. my rims only just clear gtr brembos and they are abit dished, but its the spoke design that allows clearance in the right area... heres a pic of the clearance with my 17' rims... (i think its about 10mm max) i find the brembos a great upgrade and very much worth the $$$ if u got reasonable horsepower and wanna stop safely

  11. thanks for all the advice guys im going to give 2 of the magnaflow oval race series mufflers a go as i hate the cannon style ones on the rear and ill be painting mine black for the stealth look. hopefully it shuts it up alot, i found for 2 x magnaflow race series 4' in and out are $513 for the lot delivered from the US so not too bad considering a shop in Perth wanted $500 for one mitchy im not after the cannon look as i said but i will check out yours if u come over on the weekend and see if its alright or not. cheers

Hey guys i have a rb27 with 550rwhp and its very very loud with the single 3.5' cannon muffler i have on it at the moment, im after a super quiet sound without restricting flow as much as possible, i know its a hard combination but im willing to sacrifice abit of power to please the local residents and police im going to remove the current cannon and use 2 oval mufflers. im lookin specifically at the magnaflow race series range and fitting 2 of the 8"x5" oval s/s mufflers with single 4" inlet and 4" outlet, im just worried they wont quieten the noise enough. heres the link to the ones im talking about... http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/02race.asp (Part #14153 is the one) anyone know any other places or brands that have decent mufflers in 4" in and out? the race series are $116us each any info appreciated

Hey Gary how much did u pick those r33 gtr rims up for if i may ask? do they fit perfect without sticking out the gaurds? are they lightweight compared to 17' cheap china rims? im trying to drop 20kg from my car and rims seem like the ideal option considering ive stripped the interior of seats and back cargo area stuff (lost 80kg so far).
  14. goto Distinctive Car Imports in wangara Heath and check out a sweet cond series 1 dark blue, has bilstein coilovers (factory fitted he reckons) and looks in awesome condition for around 16k if i remember correctly. tell him ya mate with the rb26 stagea sent u down for a looksie. low low km i think too. he seems like an honest bloke and i'd prefer them over the vic park shop, though i must admit ive never had a bad dealing with the vic park shop, only heard bad stuff from other people. vic park shop charge 22k for the same car that distinctive charge 15k for. good luck mate and let us know how u go
  15. anyone car to name the type of car that started the cops stickering cars? wasnt a commo or ford either, so dont label commo and ford drivers as the ones who ruined it. it doesnt matter what cars people drive theres still idiots in every type whether its a ford, holden, nissan, hyundai, etc, etc. i abandoned my car from about 10pm-3am to avoid a sticker and it worked so im happy they were choosing stock commo's to check over and letting gtr's and silvias, etc out without any checks. brockas ya lucky they didnt pull u out and spot the cage lol

  18. tuner was the problem i think hey mitchy still got the smoke issues? it didnt look good on that cruise and its weird its only in 4th gear or high rpm. if u come down to this end of the woods i can do a leakdown test and comp test on the motor as i just bought a leakdown tester. this will show if the motor is good or not. how hard are 25's to get plugs out?

  21. we waited around away from the cars til 3am to avoid the cops and they took photos of all the unattended cars so who knows what they gonna do, i'd assume they add the regos to a hoon list or something to look out for us in the future. got out stickerless so im happy but damn was it a long wait lol i cant understand why idiots have to do burnouts and usually they are the shittest cars there.
  22. jun stroker is about 9k + gst (so 10k), n1 block 4-5k nismo bearings $300, jun oil pump $1200 n1 water pump $350 machining, etc $1000 (not assembly) engine seals, core plugs and shit is like $200-300 cams $1100 head porting $2k clutch 3k twin 044 fuel pumps $500 intank pump $300 turbo $3k+ fuel rail $400 ecu $3-4k bigger sump $1-2k manifold 2k head and main studs - ? retainers ? valve springs? ati balancer $1k exhuast gearbox thats a minimal list i could think of in 2 min so add about double that and u get a jun stroker setup done properly just internals for head and bottom end, and block for mine is like 24k, thats without turbos, no ecu, no fuel system, no nuthin. if i knew the costs i would of gone os giken 3l personally for that little bit extra dont let anyone tell u a big build on a 26 (using stroker kit) is 10-15k because thats rubbish
