  1. The light means there is a problem with the ATTESSA system, and AWD has been disabled!
  2. The x-drilled rotors fitted to R32 GT-Rs had a habit of cracking out from the drillhole. Much safer with just slotted.
  3. Gauge itself, don't know. Try direct earthing the gauge; should go full-scale if it's working OK. As for the gauge light, probably a blown panel globe. Try swapping one of the others into that location. Have you got any refrigerant gas in the A/C system? The main switch needs a bit of a cleanup. It's a common problem in Skylines. How about a bit of punctuation so I can at least take a breath while I'm reading your post
  4. If it's in a R32, then it's power steering fluid, which is generally auto trans fluid.
  5. Whenever I feel like exercising, I simply lie down until the feeling passes.
  6. Are you sure there's not a hole in the bottle, dear liza, dear liza?
  7. No problems, the beer isn't necessary. It might be something as simple as the pads are worn, and pushing the pistons back out to accommodate new pads will "refill" the reservoir; worst case is something like a leak in the ABS unit (been there, done that!).
  8. Top up the brake fluid in the master cylinder.
  9. Can't give you photos. However, you need to find the 2 wires that were connected to the "don't start if it's not in Neutral or Park" switch (that's the technical name, more commonly referred to as ?? - is it the safety switch? - I'm not really an auto person). Just connect them together so the ECU thinks the (auto) gearbox is in Park. Similarly for the reverse lights, find the 2 wires and hook them into the reverse switch. Or maybe the reverse switch is broken.
  10. Pull the cat out of the exhaust and check it hasn't collapsed or otherwise pooped itself.
  11. I'm sure it's been mentioned many times - the thermo switch in the bottom tank of the radiator controls that fan. That being said, there's nothing to prevent you from re-wiring that fan so that the PFC controls when it turns on and off.
  12. Then it's not a GTS-t (it's a GTS, the "t" is for "turbo").Any R32 / 33 / 34 diff should bolt up, as they are all based on the R200 differential. However, the output shafts may be different, having 5x1 (?) or 3x2 bolt patterns for the half shafts to connect up.
  13. My experience has been that it's not worth an engine for the sake of a few kW. I could not keep the engine properly cooled after I installed a thermo fan. All was OK once I re-installed the factory fan.
  14. If you already knew the answer, why did you bother asking the FN question? And how come no-one else has ever thought of asking this question in the 4 or 5 years these forums have been in existence?
  15. I have a set of 1mm O/S ACL forged pistons - PM for info.
  16. I have a set of standard R32 GTS4 springs that have been reset to lower the height. $100, in Melbourne.
  17. ??????Any errors showing up from the ECU? When was the last time you had the injectors cleaned? How is the ignition timing? What boost is it running?
  18. Just about all the lights on ANY instrument panel are warning lights; they generally indicate a problem. In life, red means something - it's no different with cars.
  19. Maybe someone painted it. If your A/C works, then you have an A/C radiator in front of the main radiator.
  20. Slightly safer to disconnect the hose off the fuel pressure regulator. (easy to find, just follow the other hose up to the inlet plenum). The "buzzing" could be the ATTESSA pump pressurising before startup.
  21. Right. Not necessarily. If the engine isn't overheating under the load of running the A/C in the hot weather, then the fan won't come on. Yes, the one attached to the front of the engine. It's the silvery one, out front; the one with the A/C fan bolted to it.
  22. If you're still looking, maybe try Central Motor Wreckers in Ballarat. Have a look through the "Useful Links" sticky at the top of this section.
  23. Listen to your father. And before you destroy the engine through continual overheating, stop driving it and get it fixed!
  24. Did you adjust the idle speed using the screw in the base of the AAC (driver's side)?Clogged fuel filter usually has the opposite effect - idles fine, won't accelerate.
